SPY REPORT
It is a great day to be a spy reporter! Days like today are the ones that I live for
in this business. What is so special about it you ask? It is arena day! Yes! We
have waited a whole 28 days for this action and I am pumped to share all the good news
(and some bad) with you. My name is Ori Starbloom, and I will serve as your guide
through turn 193 in Telorinthe.
As is often the case, our Duelmaster was graduating, so we need a new one to sit on
the throne. Mango Chutney, our reigning Duelmaster and newest Lord Protector,
challenged Death Bringer. It was sister vs. sister (the managers, not the warriors).
Nemesis against Dragon Master! Who would come out on top? Mango goes off to the Isle
with a loss, but I think title, land, and immortality are a nice trade-off. Death
Bringer gets the throne and an opportunity to defend it next turn. As I mentioned,
Death Bringer is managed by Dragon Master.
Our most avoided team today is Conjure Up the Sun. They were mostly avoided by Super
Brash Brothers. General Bashur does not issue many challenges, but it is plain to see
that he uses his avoids. Let me see, who is our most challenged warrior today? It
looks as if Tyrann Mathieu gets that honor. Flash from Rhymes with Ash looked up in
the rankings and thought Tyrann a worthy opponent. It took 2-minutes, but Tyrann
Mathieu was victorious on the sands. No one died, so I view that as a positive
outcome.
Speaking of death, we had a few deaths today. One Dark Arena death gets credited to
Kame House. Moving on to the regular sands, we had 2 deaths. The first came when
Synapse of Super Brash Brothers was killed in a bout with Lady of the Green. Maybe
she picked the wrong color because I saw an awful lot of red during this fight! Well,
red and green do pair nicely with one another. It feels festive. Eh, probably not
that festive for Super Brash Brothers. The next death finds two rookies matching up
and not knowing when to quit or pull a few swings. Joymend from the new guild, The
Blue Marble, killed Rathalos of The Dragons.
Welcome to the new teams! Classics and The Blue Marble made their debut today.
Introduce yourselves and enjoy our fine arena. You will find most of the regulars
friendly enough, though at times a bit bloodthirsty. NFL Network and The Dragons are
tied for the top team at 9-4-0. It looks like a family affair with the top 4 teams as
you have the sibling combos at work. The Dragons stayed strong at number 2, while
House of Fur slipped out of 1st into 3rd. The Ferocious Five jumped into the top 5,
as did Sorcerer Kings. We had 3 inactive teams today, so let's send out a search
party for them to return to the sands!
I believe that is a wrap! Time for me to go enjoy some of the arena-day fares before
the vendors start packing it all up and moving to the next arena. The spiced wine
just outside of the west gate is amazing! Death Bringer gets to defend the title and
we will have a report from the search parties looking for those missing teams! Join
