A NEW TRAINER
Refuse good advice and watch your plans fail; take good counsel and watch
them succeed. -- Proverbs 15:22 The Message
Thia Salanora and Hammer were in a deep discussion with the New Trainer that Hammer
had recruited as to how best to train the current young gladiators of the Aaaarrgh
Hammerz (3) in hopes of improving their collective Team Winning Percentage in the
Telorinthe Arena (83) Gladiator Standings.
The beautiful Half Elf in charge of the Aaaarrgh Hammerz stable had greeted the New
Trainer and shown her around the premises, filling her in on the state of the current
young stable, while ushering her into her private living quarters.
Lady Mandalorian, now a Lady Lord Protector, had struck a hard bargain with her
Veteran Manager, before agreeing to accompany Hammer to the Telorinthe Arena to help
train his young gladiators, who had all signed the necessary papers that they would
not venture to fight in a Future Tourney, under penalty of death by decree of the
Gladiatorial Commission for violating their signed agreement.
What bargain you may ask? Especially you Lurkers!
Hammer had declared that his Aauurrgh 5 Blades stable would be transferring from
Kaltos Arena (5) after suitable replacements were added to said stable; however, Lady
Mandalorian had demanded that said stable would remain in Kaltos Arena to begin
fighting at a future time, after she had personally been able to help train the New
Kaltos Arena Recruits!
Hammer had not only agreed, but he was well pleased that Lady Mandalorian wanted to
help train the New Recruits, who all seemed to be better, at least on paper, than the
Veteran Manager had expected to receive to restock his Arena 5 Stable!
Furthermore, the newly-anointed Lady Lord Protector had also requested to help train
and coach the Warriors of Abattoir 5 Blades that Hammer would be sending to an
upcoming Master Darque hosted contest in Arena 45 after the New Year!
If that is agreeable with Stormm Krow, the beautiful, but battle-worn, Shagornan Elf
who is in charge of training my Abattoir 5 Blades Warriors, then it is agreeable with
me, responded Hammer matter-of-factly to the request of his recently graduated Ripper!
Hammer, with a nod of acknowledgement to Hannibal Smith of the A-Team, thought to
himself with a grin of satisfaction: I Love It When a Good Plan Comes Together!
[TIME JUMP]
Lady Mandalorian put Telo Zebra Hammer, Mando Telo Hammer, Hello Telo Hammer, Telo
Pyker Hammer and Manda Telo Hammer thru their combat-training paces!
She took special interest in Mando Telo Hammer, suggesting that he revamp his fighting
strategy, along with his Weapon and Armor selection!
She emphasized all that her Veteran Manager had shared with her over the years:
May Your Blades Be Sharp and Your Wits Sharper! -- Hammer, Minister of War
DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
So glad to be here, but so embarrassing to be on the throne with a losing record.
Someone should do something about that.
As the team picked up 5 awards last turn, we have been told to try extra hard to at
least show up on the sands this month, boss didn't really care about the results.

SPY REPORT
Hiya, Telorinthe! Oh my goodness, wasn't Turn 236 just the best?! I mean, I know every
turn is exciting, but this one had so much action and drama that I'm still twirling
with excitement! So let's get to the sparkly good stuff--your friendly elf reporter
has it all right here!
First up, the title fight! The Duelmaster's throne was up for grabs, as it is every
turn, and guess who kept their spot? That's right--it's Extra Homework from Bad Signs!
Eek! I know, I know, the name doesn't sound very fun, but wow, the performance sure
was! With a record of 14-16-0, this warrior showed us that even dreaded assignments
can come out on top with enough grit (and maybe a few extra credit points?).
Ooooh, this one's a little sneaky. The most avoided team was: Sorcerer Kings! They
must have cast a few "Stay Away" spells, hehe. It looks like Bad Signs was the team
most determined to dodge the Sorcerer Kings this cycle. Maybe it's all those enchanted
cloaks and scary staff-wielding types? Smart move... maybe. Oh my stars! This turn's
most challenged warrior was Extra Homework again! I guess when you're sitting up high
on the Duelmaster's seat, everyone wants a shot at knocking you down. But our
titleholder held their ground and passed the test. Yay!
Let's all wave our gauntlets to Tyr of Sorcerer Kings. This noble fighter has
graduated from the arena life and now rides off to wherever true heroes go. May your
blade stay sharp and your armor forever shiny! If my records are right, we may have a
few other warriors join him in the next few cycles.
There's a lot of energy bouncing around the sands of Telorinthe, but wouldn't it be
even better with more warriors? More names on the challenge board? More steel ringing
in the air?! So c'mon, managers, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell that one
guy who always brags about how he used to manage--come join the fun! There's always
room for more in this magical arena we call home.
Hugs and Hurrahs!
