Ask Miss Demeanor
Dear Miss Demeanor: I am a warrior that is required to wear armor for work. I love
my work, but hate the armor. Most of my morning commute is spent riding a coach to
the arena. When I leave the house, my jerkin and dueling gloves are on, but not laced
up. I know when in the commute to begin to lace up my leather so that when I step
from the coach up to the arena, everything is in its place. My partner opines that
this is the equivalent of going out in public "not fully dressed." I believe that
because all sensitive body parts are sensibly covered when I depart, that I meet the
fully dressed standard. Can you advise? -- Bothered in Blackstone
Gentle Reader: First thing tomorrow, take one of your unlaced gloves and smack
that partner upside the head before you catch your coach. Miss Demeanor notes
that if they're still there when you get home, they're not worth your time. If
they've left, they were likely too good for you in the first instance.
Dear Miss Demeanor: As a gladiator that has been around the block for some time, I am
looking for the appropriate way to thank my stupendous manager, GentleBen. I leave
small gifts lying around but he is always too shy and humble to accept them. I try to
catch him around the guildhouse, but he is always off donating his time to worthy
causes. When I try to thank him directly for all of his developmental coaching and
support, he tousles my hair and tells me that I'm the real hero. How do I make this

BODY BY OTTO's proud of her after beating FRANCES FARMER and getting 31 points. Talk
about yer big time losers! POORLY SUHTED got smashed by KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE, and
lost 18 points! Was that a tear I saw in CUT YOUR HAIR's eye, as he took over
Duelmastership? And wasn't ANGEL HAIR fit to be tied! Is the Duelmaster really
being a real snob to his teammates? Don't ask me!
AAARRGH!!! I HATE SPYREPORTING!!! Sorry. I just had to say it. SUHT YOURSELF
was the most avoided team. Is a 31-61-2 record really that scary? I don't know what
071709AK's been doing. They certainly haven't been accepting many fights from SUHT
YOURSELF, that's fer sher. Like, is CUT YOUR HAIR popular, or what? He was
challenged the most in all of BLACKSTONE! He's got a 20-18-0, is that good?
Man, all these warriors dying and killing each other! Don't you guys ever give
it a break? Like, who is this guy??? FERRET gets sent to the Dark Arena, battles
BANDIT PRINCE, and returns to tell of it!!! I bet WILD THINGS manager is surprised!
I'm always kinda bummed when a decent warrior gets killed. FRANCES FARMER, of IN
UTERO had a 12-7-0 when he got bumped off by COTTONS. Fight, fight, fight. Is that
all you guys can do?
