Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team BIRDEMIC was
unseated this week as THE DONALD moved up from 14th ranking to take the top spot with
a 2-2-0 record for the round. The proverbial rising comet can only hope to compare
with THE DONALD's team record! A 2-2-0 week and now a firm grasp on a 1st place
ranking. I have begun to suspect trickery on the part of UNGENTLE BENS. How else
weeks like this one's 2-2-0? How else the sudden move to 2nd team? The proverbial
rising comet can only hope to compare with SAD SPRING XIII's team record! A 1-0-0
week and now a firm grasp on a 7th place ranking. I have begun to suspect trickery
on the part of TEMPE'13 3. How else weeks like this one's 1-0-0? How else the
sudden move to 9th team? STREET WALKERS 7 bore the brunt of major assault on their
standings this week as they dropped to 13th position as the result of going 0-1-0!
My tutors were fond of telling me that the higher you rise the harder you fall. This
week GO NOW went 1-1-0 and fell 13 notches into 20th! THINGS I HATE 2 bore the brunt
of major assault on their standings this week as they dropped to 23rd position as the
result of going 0-1-0! EMPTY CASKET caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial
commission as he skillfully bested KHALHUMS DWARF and was awarded 14 points in
recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, MOLLY HATCHET put down ANY
QUIZ, causing him to lose 8 points of recognition in the process. This time out
AFFLECK made his bid for the throne as he challenged BORSCHT in an all out contest of
skill for possession of the title! This time victory fell to the grasp of the
usurper. All hail AFFLECK, Duelmaster of BLACKSTONE! Informants "close" to the city
champion have told me that he never fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor.

Many and various are the arts of battle. In BLACKSTONE "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! BLACKSTONE, city of gladiators! Mighty among
the names of thy guilds is THE DONALD, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the
weekly duels. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent
the better part of last week avoiding THE DONALD. Indeed it was CONS I. Loose talk
at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters
are after SOFTY CHEESE. Watch your back! I cannot but express pride for the
fearlessness of QUALITY who cast caution to the winds and challenged ECO POWER, a
fighter 27 points higher. To be sure the battle was a losing one. But I like to
think QUALITY at least gave ECO POWER a run for his money. A match that raised a few
eyebrows at the games this week, it seems that TSUHNAMI posted a challenge against
the more highly recognized AIMED BLOWS. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand
TSUHNAMI was defeated by AIMED BLOWS. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of
steel.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune
but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in BLACKSTONE. Nice atmosphere you have here! Sadly warriors, now longer
can I keep thy company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon!
