I eat Mad Docs for breakfast, and any of you who thinks that is a figure of
speech is welcome to drop by and check it out tomorrow morning. I eat other things,
too, and YOU might be on the list.

REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Laundry? Why is there a basket of wet clothes sitting on my desk? Fripperies
and laces! This isn't even MY laundry! Take it AWAY. I have to talk about fights.
I can do that in my sleep, you know, but not if I'm surrounded by wet laundry and in
danger of getting mildewed.
So, let's see what we've got here. Hmm, notes by Debby Tonte. While I
appreciated her popping in to cover for me last time, she hadn't better plan on
making a habit of it, especially not if she comes with laundry.
Tuft Tuggers were avoided by Chapel Rock, which is apparently full of un-tugged
tufts and wants to stay that way.
Desperado of Posse got the most challenges. Whoopee-do. Does this mean he can
open a fast food joint?
We had forty-one fights, which is good, and TWENTY-TWO challenge matches, which
is incredible, although I do credit it. Really! The numbers are in front of me, and
seeing is believing. At least, everyone says so.
Nobody died.
Only one standby fought that I noticed.
The longest match seems to have been fifteen minutes. That's long enough.
So, the fights. First, passing quickly over the random matches. (If you want
to be talked about more, issue challenges, or else get challenged. Forty-one fights
is too many to comment on everything.)
KELDON WARLORD (42-2501) (17-10-1,74) of WIND STORM fought MOUNTAIN GOAT (56-
3700) (35-47-3,64) of REDHORSE. KELDON WARLORD handily defeated MOUNTAIN GOAT in a 1
minute one-sided match. Blew that Goat off his mountain.
FAT BACK (96-1610) (8-5-4,37) of KILLING ME SOFTLY fought ACE METRIC (47-3554)
(13-8-0,47) of ROYAL FLUSH. FAT BACK was overpowered by ACE METRIC in a crowd
pleasing 1 minute one-sided brawl. Fried. Delicious.
PORK ROLL (97-1634) (7-6-5,48) of KILLING ME SOFTER fought BULL DURHAM (5-4324)
(17-8-0,46) of PARTY ANIMALS. PORK ROLL was devastated by BULL DURHAM in an action
packed 1 minute mismatched match. Party on, Bull!
CAT IN THE HAT (24-3103) (23-8-1,86) of THE SEUSS HEUSS fought MOOSE (56-3459)
(25-34-0,88) of REDHORSE. CAT IN THE HAT was overpowered by MOOSE in an action
packed 1 minute one-sided fight. He didn't mean to step on you, Cat, it just
happened.
PINE LEAF (24-4580) (25-26-0,88) of KRILL CAVALRY fought KRAMER (47-5191) (17-7-
0,71) of SECOND BANANAS. PINE LEAF was overpowered by KRAMER in a 1 minute one-sided
competition. What comes before a second banana? Not a first banana, surely?
SPATHA (31-4996) (29-19-2,75) of SOL INVICTUS fought YAKKO (7-3266) (20-25-0,66)
of UNDER JOLLY ROGER. SPATHA unbelievably bested YAKKO in a popular 1 minute
gruesome bout. Why does no one believe this?
WRETCHEDMISERY (33-7255) (20-12-0,59) of CHAOTICDISORDER fought REDDI WHIP (97-
1636) (8-5-6,45) of KILLING ME SOFTER. WRETCHEDMISERY was subdued by REDDI WHIP in a
2 minute brutal mismatched match. Now Wretched is truly miserable.
HELM HAMMERHAND (31-5025) (30-16-0,131) of LORDS OF VALHALLA fought KID QUICK
(56-3846) (21-7-2,100) of PUNCH-OUT! HELM HAMMERHAND devastated KID QUICK in a
popular 1 minute uneven bout. Hammered the Kid flat.

that's life on the Isle.

popular 4 minute gruesome bout. Some people just don't appreciate music.

19-1,145) of MEDIEVAL CHAOS. BUCK was overpowered by BLIND ILLUSION in a popular 7
minute gory one-sided match. Those visual tricks don't work with Blind.

4197) (32-43-0,120) of TUFT TUGGERS. BATAVIA was luckily beaten by JOHN LONGSHORE in
an action packed 3 minute duel. Luck? You actually think this was LUCK, and not a
firm, wide-ranging grasp of geology? Little do you know!
MAD DOC WILLIAMS (77-2432) (33-14-0,196) of POSSE fought OSWALD ORC (101-24) (0-
0-0,181) of the Local Louts 101. MAD DOC WILLIAMS viciously subdued OSWALD ORC in an
exciting 6 minute gory duel. Okay, two standbys today. So I missed one. Big deal!
FIENDISH GLEE (46-1553) (32-21-5,187) of CLEVER LINGO fought SEGALLION SUNDANCER
(11-4600) (38-27-1,185) of TUFT TUGGERS. FIENDISH GLEE was beaten by SEGALLION
SUNDANCER in an exciting 1 minute fray. And was the Sundancer working with smug
satisfaction? Or how about Angelic Innocence? Team Clever Lingo, please enroll a
gladiatress named Angelic Innocence!
R IS FOR REPUGNANT (99-1155) (24-15-4,197) of GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME fought GAZELLE

minute uneven duel. I don't want to go into what else R is for.

4856) (37-33-1,200) of TUFT TUGGERS. NUTCRACKER vanquished ZLATINA ANGUELOVA in an
exciting 2 minute one-sided fight. This is not peanuts.

(29-17-0,186) of DARKMOON. KERMORVAN narrowly defeated AGLIBOL in an exciting 2
minute gory duel. How can a defeat be narrow when it takes two minutes? That may
not be wide, but it isn't a skinny minute, either.
HALLIE O'DENE (58-6018) (67-92-0,206) of CIRQUE DU MASQUES fought MOD COD (55-
2638) (76-98-3,203) of RHYME TYME. HALLIE O'DENE bested MOD COD in an exciting 2
minute gory bout. They tell me lemon juice is the key.
Ah, now the challenge matches, which number more than HALF our not
inconsiderable total of fights today. Amazing and delightful. Keep this up, people.
IMMOVEABLE OBJECT (59-2110) (22-7-1,70) of NOT QUITE challenged GLASS JOE (56-
3847) (18-10-0,72) of PUNCH-OUT! Up 2. IMMOVEABLE OBJECT luckily beat GLASS JOE in
an action packed 2 minute Challenge fray. I really do question the operation of luck
in such a situation.
CEER (96-1537) (9-4-4,28) of THE BLOODGUARD 2 challenged GAR & BRILL (38-4252)
(36-65-0,56) of JUST BECAUSE. Up 28. CEER lost to GAR & BRILL in a 1 minute
Challenge match. Ceer, this is unacceptable. Get out there next time and clean that
Gar's greasy brill!
ACE BAILEY (47-4948) (16-23-0,64) of ROYAL FLUSH challenged HEBEE (38-4359) (15-
10-0,70) of ALL FINESSE. Up 6. ACE BAILEY devastated HEBEE in a 1 minute one-sided
Challenge bout. And if ANYONE employed finesse in this fight, I couldn't see it from
the stands.

(40-2287) (26-17-0,92) of AS FAR AS SIAM. Down 1. SLIPPERY NIPPLE overpowered

Hurricane couldn't lay a piston on it?

5869) (51-89-1,88) of CIRQUE DU MASQUES. Down 5. HOCKEY DUCK bested SKI MASK in a
popular 2 minute Challenge brawl. Another match between Ducks! What are they doing
fighting each other? Besides proving that Ducks have all our vices of pride and
other stuff as well as their own marshy piccadillies.

kicking buckets, but not bowls before now. This might be quite a dish.

uneven Challenge fight. And what can you expect, eh? Rowdy stepps out onto the
sands, pauses, turns toward the wall, and enthusicastically sparfs all over the
place, forgetting, perhaps, that the Arenamaster said "Go." Talk about your "sitting
ducks," or was this a "sparfing duck"?

ah, noted. It isn't everyone who can keep on bashing his head against a brick wall
for fifteen minutes. Most people stop sooner.

1,124) of MOSSRUNNERS. Up 4. OSCAR viciously subdued FEALOST in a 2 minute gory
Challenge fight. Been sampling the product, Fealost?

5671) (28-26-1,142) of DARKMOON. Up 13. SEX CAMEL was vanquished by BRIARTHORN in a
1 minute uneven Challenge fight. All I can say is that I hope the personal to Sex
Camel is correct, because he is the UGLIEST dude I've ever seen, and remember, I've
seen Snide Clemens.

realize that the REST of the universe perfers base thirteen.

Probably because of being able to shelter behind the Brick Wall.
