Howdy Pardners
This here's your local Captain of the Guard. I must say that I was awful quiet
last turn, but that's just not like me when I've got something to say.
Unfortunately, the Pony Express Mail delivery didn't make it time, some ornery
varmints must have really slowed things down. But this time I'm here, and it looks
like I'm back again.
Crip says quite a few of his Crap are leaving Home Guard this cycle, bound for
Gold in them there hills of Crysalis, but fear not, a fair number of his Crap in
Crysalis are gunna start lookin' fer gold her. Gold, I tell ya, Gold.

REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
I don't know whether to be pleased or insulted that the Commission called out its
Olaf Golem (one of the better ones) to provide me with a template for this spy
report. But since it's here, let's take a look at it. I think the golem needs a
little tuning up, myself.
"You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to HOME GUARD once again!" This makes it sound like I'm never
here! What are they, blind? "What's with PINE LEAF? She actually beat THE
STORMGUARDS' UNZOE THE SHAMAN, and walked away with 38 more points from the fight."
Why is this a surprise? "Laughs were big at KRILL CAVALRY while they watched PINE
LEAF clobber UNZOE THE SHAMAN. He lost 27 points and got bruised from objects thrown
from the stands." No, seriously, while the fans HAVE thrown things from time to
time, I've never known Krill Cavalry to laugh. "Apparently HOME GUARD isn't filled
with as many gutless wonders as I thought. The Dreaded Duelmaster got 2 challenges
this turn!" Then why did he end up in a random match, eh? I suspect hostility in
the office of the handicapper! "Try as he might, CAT IN THE HAT wasn't good enough
at persuading BLACK JACK SHELACK to step down from the Duelmaster's throne..."
Duelmaster? What century was this golem programmed in? We call him the Captain of
the Guard. "I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your
fellow fighters? Tough!" Darn straight. I leave that for other reporters.
"If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports." We
have to have something to talk about, after all. "HOME GUARD thinks THE STORMGUARDS
and their 76-98-2 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up... The bums
at CHAPEL ROCK couldn't face the challenges from THE STORMGUARDS!" Someday I'm going
to find out who sets up these golems so that they think that avoiding is invariably
bad. "No excuse for that!" Plenty of excuses.... "VIKING RAIDER expects the easy
win by going 23 points down. MOD COD will find this a hard lesson! I have to get
this off my chest. What a low dog, VIKING RAIDER! He can't set himself up in a real
match." Oh, right, and the Cod has almost two hundred more fights! "I was sorry to
see MOD COD lose." I was delighted. "Fighting is a better craft than farming
(debateable), PORK ROLL, but you have to pay your dues. Being challenged by SLIPPERY
NIPPLE, 32 points above you, is dues. SLIPPERY NIPPLE beat PORK ROLL. I bet
SLIPPERY NIPPLE could beat two-year-olds, too. Well, KILLING ME SOFTER knows who to
set their sights on." And so they should. "POPE PAUL II of CHAPEL ROCK knows how to
pick 'em. He challenged REDDI WHIP of KILLING ME SOFTER who is up by 18. Now was
this a wise move? POPE PAUL II perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he was
defeated by REDDI WHIP and ended up with 193 recognition points." And his just
desserts had whipped cream on them, too!
"A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do." True. "How long have I been here? I got people
to see, places to go..." Who, exactly, does this golem have to rush off and see? I
really would like to know.
"Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors." False. They have
done no such thing. "Any plans here?" Not a chance. "HOME GUARD is a nice place to
live, but I don't like to live in nice places." True, unless you consider graveyards
to be nice places. "I don't want to overstay my welcome..." Let me think about that
one!

PRIZES
ENDURANCE AWARD: One (1) +1 Bonus Potion will be given to every team that competes
in 60 of the 65 contest fights.
KILL MASTER AWARD: The individual manager with the most kills will receive a Limited
Immortality Potion. This potion may be applied to one (1) warrior. He/she will be
resurrected ONE-TIME if they are killed in Basic D2.
TOP TEAM AWARD: Each manager on the winning team will receive the following prize
pack for their Slaughterhouse Dominance:

Special note from RSI on prizes: All contest prizes must be used within three
months. All contest prizes may only be used on a living warrior on the participating
