Yes, well, here we are. Hail to one and all, but if you're smart, you'll get
under cover when it starts. Nasty stuff, hail. Who wants dents in their armor?
Alarond is still talking about troll stew at the Bash & Glug. What an idiot.
That experiment has been done, Grimtooth the Troll volunteered several years back,
and troll tastes so horrible, NO ONE would serve it to humans and expect to stay in
business.
Gerfel's Friends were Most Avoided by Royal Flush. Is this because of something
"your best friends won't tell you"? I always figured, if they wouldn't tell, they
weren't such hot friends.
Head Cheese got the most challenges. Where did that name come up recently?
Darned if I can remember, maybe during the tourney? Whatever. Everyone here, or at
least two or more, wanted a slice of Head Cheese.
Alarond tells us that a brave warrior does not carry a red shield, which makes
no sense, Who cares what color his shield is? And that he has "nothing to cover or
hide when the fight is over." Now, that is a crock. Many gladiators have something
to hide, and many more need to cover up after a fight.
We had twenty fights, involving a mere two standbys. Nine challenges, none of
them tv. According to the official observers, none of the fights were action-packed
and none were exciting. Makes you wonder.
My guess is that the Split has not yet splat.
HUW AP HUW (35-3030) (20-51-0,30) of CHILDREN OF LLYR fought CAFFREY'S (21-4748)
(16-2-1,80) of REAL BEER. HUW AP HUW was viciously subdued by CAFFREY'S in a popular
2 minute gruesome bout. But, remember, no action or excitement! And after all, why
should there be? So Huw can't hold his beer, is this something the crowd wants to
watch?
SNOTMAN (97-2611) (11-3-5,24) of COLLUSION fought LAKE SAILOR (101-2) (0-0-0,30)
of the Local Louts 101. SNOTMAN was overpowered by LAKE SAILOR in a 1 minute
mismatched conflict. If Snotman has teeth and toenails, which seems debatable, he's
hanging on by them hoping for enough skills to become competitive here. Being able
to kill a bunch of equally inexperienced gladiators during a bloodgame doesn't always
prepare you well for the Isle, does it?
BLOODY BRAINLESS (96-2206) (16-18-3,77) of BLOODY RANDOMNESS fought SUI GENERIS
(38-4444) (15-8-0,53) of ALL FINESSE. BLOODY BRAINLESS was overpowered by SUI
GENERIS in a 1 minute one-sided bout. With an arena id number like Sui has, four
fours, talk about lucky!, this is not a great surprise.
TAVIS CADFALSON (35-1419) (34-90-2,148) of CHILDREN OF LLYR fought RUBBER KNIFE
(57-2546) (19-6-1,140) of USELESS TOOLS. TAVIS CADFALSON was overpowered by RUBBER
KNIFE in a 1 minute one-sided bout. After which, Tavis was overpowered by rotten
rutabagas (the only thing in season) thrown by the fans. No action, no excitement,
no gruntlement.
GAR & BRILL (38-4252) (63-93-0,177) of JUST BECAUSE fought DON KING (47-5374)
(23-20-2,137) of ROYAL FLUSH. GAR & BRILL was devastated by DON KING in a 1 minute
mismatched brawl. About time--every two weeks is about time--someone cleaned the
Brill's clock. And the kitchen, too, gods, what a horrible place! It makes me glad
I'm dead, because Sam and Ella can't catch me. Not that they could catch me when I
was alive, I was darned fast on my feet.
OWAIN HARLSON (35-3130) (27-37-1,161) of CHILDREN OF LLYR fought BLACK EYES (46-
2820) (29-25-0,123) of THE FURIOUS FIVE. OWAIN HARLSON was vanquished by BLACK EYES
in a 1 minute one-sided fray. This should come as no surprise to anyone, despite the
difference in ranking, since Owain makes a career of being vanquished. The real
question is, does he teach well?

3101) (28-8-4,175) of THE BULLS. SCRAPPLE savagely defeated BASE ON BULLS in a
popular 3 minute bloody duel. It would appear that scrapple doesn't agree with
bulls. This surprised me at first, since scrapple is basically cornmeal mush, but
then I remembered the bits of dried beef and whatnot in it. Especially the whatnot.
BLOOD PIE (96-1918) (23-22-5,181) of WHY SELL THIS? fought THE SINGING BANDIT
(11-6349) (32-39-0,170) of GERFEL'S FRIENDS. BLOOD PIE viciously subdued THE SINGING
BANDIT in a crowd pleasing 2 minute bout. Is there any truth to the rumor that blood
pie is prepared by and for vampires? Who else would eat it, after all?
HUNZICKER BOWL (23-4182) (41-20-2,210) of SKI TAOS fought MOD COD (55-2638) (99-
130-3,198) of RHYME TYME. HUNZICKER BOWL was subdued by MOD COD in a 1 minute match.
The thought of that bowl heaped with frozen cod, you get things frozen when skiing is
involved, right? Well, it shivers my socks and gives me a cold grue.
ACE METRIC (47-3554) (26-17-0,220) of ROYAL FLUSH fought ARENAMASTER AZEEM (101-
28) (0-0-0,200) of the Local Louts 101. ACE METRIC was subdued by ARENAMASTER AZEEM
in a crowd pleasing 3 minute competition. Arenamasters are TOUGH, always,
everywhere. Never doubt it.

HARLEY THE CADAVER in a 1 minute Challenge struggle. This one puzzles me. I could
see it the other way, the Cadaver overpowering the Room, I've overpowered a room or
two myself, when I slacked off on the embalming fluid. But this, this is "man bites
dog."
