Okay, here we are, just past the solstice and beginning, though it barely shows
yet, the slide back into darkness. But do we care? Yes, but we aren't going to talk
about it. Today we talk about fights.
Twenty fights, with only four standbys, which isn't bad for Home Guard. Three
challenges--thanks, Crip! Two deaths. It's the heat.
Sea Dogs were avoided by Useless Tools, or more probably one Sea Dog was avoided
by one Useless Tool, but we make do with what we've got.
James Madison got the most challenges, which must have been quite a trick.
Zontani advises him to watch his back, for which he's going to need a couple of
mirrors.

tough lady there, and not one to allow any liberties.

(1-8274) (13-11-2,70) of SEA DOGS. OWAIN HARLSON was handily defeated by POOP DECK
GUY in a 1 minute one-sided conflict. And the things that Owain had to say after the
fight would scorch your toenails and curl your ears.

minute one-sided fight. Probably buried old Patch in the sands, too. It would be
appropriate.

uneven duel. Go, Don! That Gar, not to mention Brill, has been poisoning out

Huh, haven't seen Aylian lately.

20-0,170) of MID EARTH. SHEWISH WHALER won victory over TARCIL in a crowd pleasing 1
minute fight. An obvious win, but there's nothing wrong with an obvious win, after
all. And Tarcil might come back next time and turn the tables. Although why anyone
really wants to turn the tables puzzles me.
The challenges?

(25-16-0,79) of MID EARTH. Up 3. IMMOVEABLE OBJECT was vanquished by ARONWE in a 1
minute mismatched Challenge brawl. More a case for the challenger's team name than
personal one this time out. Maybe next time this table, too, will be turned.
PHONELESS CORD (54-2018) (30-18-0,166) of USELESS TOOLS challenged MAKESHIFT
ANCHOR (1-7724) (38-48-0,147) of SEA DOGS. Down 19. PHONELESS CORD savagely
defeated MAKESHIFT ANCHOR in a 7 minute Challenge melee. Looks like the Sea Dogs
need to bring a real anchor next time.
LONDON QUIREBOY (59-2513) (32-15-1,208) of CHAPEL ROCK challenged JAMES MADISON
(99-1268) (35-19-3,202) of DEAD PRESIDENTS, YO. Down 6. LONDON QUIREBOY
unbelievably bested JAMES MADISON in a 2 minute Challenge fight. I don't see why
this was hard to believe. James can't carry a tune in a bucket, after all.
For the title:
MISS TEAK (1-8015) (37-29-1,237) of SEA DOGS fought SNOTMAN (97-2611) (27-15-
6,190) of COLLUSION. MISS TEAK was demolished by SNOTMAN in a 1 minute mismatched
Title competition. It's a sad day, in a way--do we WANT a Captain of the Guard
