It's disappointing, and I hope not a sign of things to come: no personals until
I complained to Jorja, no column, only one manager bothered to challenge or avoid.
Are we sinking back into the pit of disinterest we plumbed last year? Let it not be
so! Home Guard should be a unique and enjoyable experience.
But to get on with it:
Rubber Plant appears to have risen farthest after today's fights, gaining twenty
points.
Surly Deckhand, who was so inept as to lose to a Lake Sailor, dropped farthest,
going down twenty-seven points.
Sea Dogs was avoided by Royal Flush.
Gut Buster got the most challenges.
We had twenty-five fights involving, amongst others, seven standbys. Five were
challenge matches. I see a couple of deaths, as well.

1,118) of CHILDREN OF LLYR. HORTATOR demolished HUW AP HUW in a 1 minute mismatched
match. Always a good bet for an easy win, Huw is, and a friendlier guy afterward
would be hard to find. Some days I wonder how he managed to graduate at all.
HEART BREAKER (26-4752) (26-18-1,158) of ULTRA-VIOLENT fought MODEL PRISONER
(42-4489) (21-4-2,124) of DUNGEON CELL. HEART BREAKER handily defeated MODEL
PRISONER in a 1 minute one-sided bout. Yes, well, it's what she does. Although many
of Heart Breaker's victims describe themselves as "vanquished" or even "devastated."
