Okay, everyone get sat down, grab a beer or whatever you fancy, and let's get
moving on this. We're late--not your fault, not even my fault, the clerks in the
office were backed up with paperwork, getting a "whole bunch" of Bloodgames
gladiators registered. Greetings to any and all.
But to work:
THIRTY fights, with only three standbys, we're challenging the regionals here.
I like that. They can either pull up their socks and get busy, or they can leave
their socks hanging down and trip over the disgusting things. Also, twelve
challenges. Definitely looking good today.
Sea Dogs were most avoided, and Royal Flush was most avoiding.
Greatest point gain today goes to Chatty Cabalist, who shut up long enough to
get the job done on Morphius.
Biggest point loss goes to Chatty's teammate, Reeky Sneak, for losing to a
standby. Kinda sad, there, Reeky. What's the status on your socks, eh?
REEKY SNEAK (42-4491) (19-5-0,81) of DUNGEON CELL fought B&G BOUNCER (101-3) (0-
0-0,30) of Zestful Substitutes. REEKY SNEAK was beaten by B&G BOUNCER in a 2 minute
bout. This was Reeky's bad minute, or bad two minutes. If you want to hang out
here, you have to do a little better. Not a lot, but at least a little.
LONGFELLOW (55-3177) (20-14-3,77) of PHILANTHROPISTS fought A.O. HELL (54-2523)
(19-7-2,65) of USELESS TOOLS. LONGFELLOW was demolished by A.O. HELL in an exciting
1 minute one-sided fight. Ah, I could tell you tales about this Longfellow...! But
my lips are sealed.
DAMON DORIAN (55-3229) (20-9-2,75) of PHILANTHROPISTS fought HEMPEN JIG (9-5388)
(21-19-1,41) of SEA DOGS. DAMON DORIAN was handily defeated by HEMPEN JIG in a 1
minute one-sided fight. And speaking of Khalanian Philanthropists, have I seen you
guys here before? I don't seem to think so. Welcome! But just a word of warning,
don't go hanging around with Hempen Jig.
LOCO (35-3677) (16-10-0,58) of PHILANTHROPISTS 3 fought LAZY LOOKOUT (42-4504)
(18-10-1,63) of DUNGEON CELL. LOCO was overpowered by LAZY LOOKOUT in an action
packed 1 minute one-sided fight. It isn't looking like a good day for
Philanthropists today. Bad planetary transits, I suppose.
MORPHIUS (35-3471) (15-15-1,61) of PHILANTHROPISTS fought CHATTY CABALIST (42-
4488) (24-13-2,38) of DUNGEON CELL. MORPHIUS was executed by CHATTY CABALIST in a 1
minute uneven competition. Ouch! I guess the clerks who took the notes were being
really accurate in the old "mashed him like a melon" department. Very messy.
PRISONER R02 (82-51078) (19-28-1,86) of DUNGEON CELL 4 fought PORKY PIG (72-
5953) (20-10-2,75) of MEAT YOUR MAKER. PRISONER R02 was vanquished by PORKY PIG in
an action packed 1 minute one-sided fray. Ah, the wild boar, tusks like scimitars,
and little red eyes of madness. Flee if you get the chance.
PRISONER BG23 (97-3369) (7-3-5,29) of DUNGEON CELL W10A fought LAKE SAILOR (101-
2) (0-0-0,30) of Zestful Substitutes. PRISONER BG23 was overpowered by LAKE SAILOR
in a 1 minute one-sided bout. Okay, here's a Bloodgames gladiator. Good showing,
too, but... when killing is not the object, it changes everything. This often causes
difficulties in adjustment. We just have to bear with these guys.
SCREWFACE (33-6829) (14-3-1,46) of PHILANTHROPISTS fought SURLY DECKHAND (21-
6568) (28-33-1,71) of SEA DOGS. SCREWFACE vanquished SURLY DECKHAND in a 2 minute
gruesome one-sided match. Aha! A Philanthropic victory; this may keep Aragorn from
lowering the booms on his men.
KEEL HAULER (9-5389) (21-4-0,97) of SEA DOGS fought DELLAMITRI (25-2682) (16-9-
1,58) of PHILANTHROPISTS. KEEL HAULER demolished DELLAMITRI in a 1 minute one-sided
fight. Ouch. One victory for a Philantropist--sorry if I seem to be harping on
these guys, but suddenly they're everywhere--and another loss right behind.
PRISONER BG11 (99-1620) (19-25-4,146) of DUNGEON CELL 508C fought GUT BUSTER
(26-4750) (27-19-2,100) of ULTRA-VIOLENT. PRISONER BG11 handily defeated GUT BUSTER
in a 2 minute one-sided contest. Tough guy, this Prisoner--probably not from the
most recent Bloodgames, with that record. A year ago, a year and a half, something
like that.
PRISONER 0118 (82-33748) (35-69-0,148) of DUNGEON CELL 24 fought HUW AP HUW (35-
3030) (31-87-1,120) of CHILDREN OF LLYR. PRISONER 0118 savagely defeated HUW AP HUW
in an action packed 3 minute gruesome bout. This is by way of being some kind of
rite of passage, beating Huw, and what took you three minutes, 0118?
JETSAM (1-8172) (27-33-1,132) of SEA DOGS fought PATIENCE (35-2005) (31-25-1,98)
of PHILANTHROPISTS. JETSAM slimly won victory over PATIENCE in a popular 3 minute
gruesome bout. How can Jetsam have won a slim victory? Have any of you really
looked at Jetsam lately? Slim is not the adjective.
SPARE ANCHOR (18-9610) (30-19-1,124) of SEA DOGS fought FLESH FLAYER (26-4751)
(28-16-1,109) of ULTRA-VIOLENT. SPARE ANCHOR savagely defeated FLESH FLAYER in a
crowd pleasing 3 minute bloody fight. Nothing like being hit by an anchor to make
you think of places you'd rather be.
CORRUPT TURNKEY (42-4487) (24-6-3,170) of DUNGEON CELL fought BATTLING BOB (101-
26) (0-0-0,200) of Zestful Substitutes. CORRUPT TURNKEY overpowered BATTLING BOB in
an exciting 1 minute one-sided match. Battling Bob vowed vengeance, but his
attention span isn't that long--too many blows to the head. Give him a couple of
hours, and he'll have forgotten all about it.
HEART BREAKER (26-4752) (28-19-1,152) of ULTRA-VIOLENT fought NO CHASER (33-
6490) (33-24-0,148) of JOYS OF BOOZE. HEART BREAKER devastated NO CHASER in a 2
minute gory mismatched brawl. Correct me if I'm wrong--unlikely, but just possible--
but it seems to me that Heart Breaker is indicating here that she likes to be chased.
Chase her, guys! But be ready to duck.
BALLAST (1-7727) (48-53-0,167) of SEA DOGS fought PRIZMATYK WAHL (73-4252) (24-
14-2,102) of MAGIC MAYHEM. BALLAST slimly won victory over PRIZMATYK WAHL in an
action packed 6 minute duel. It was probably the reflective polish on Ballast's
armor that turned the tide. Either that, or the moon phase.
POOP DECK GUY (1-8274) (29-12-2,193) of SEA DOGS fought GAR & BRILL (38-4252)
(76-127-1,152) of JUST BECAUSE. POOP DECK GUY handily defeated GAR & BRILL in a 1
minute one-sided conflict. Good.
Which is the last of random matches, and I don't see how a newly arrived
Bloodgames victor can be issuing challenges, so... where is the "whole bunch"? Gone
to other arenas, I suppose, the fools. They'd have been better off here.
Still, with that out of the way, we have the challenge matches:

26-1,44) of SEA DOGS. Down 26. ALARIC was bested by SALTY in a 2 minute Challenge
battle. To make a challenge like that and lose... bad show, Alaric.
PHANTASMAL (84-10204) (11-0-0,62) of SISTERHOOD challenged GOB (51-5436) (17-13-
1,62) of SEA DOGS. Straight across. PHANTASMAL was demolished by GOB in a 1 minute
mismatched Challenge competition. These Sea Dogs, they're tough, even when they come
from small arenas. Well, they have to be if they don't want to get thrown overboard
or fed to the sharks.
NUMBSKULL (52-2948) (9-3-2,28) of OTTO'S PARTS challenged SEA LEGS (9-5387) (21-
17-2,47) of SEA DOGS. Up 19. NUMBSKULL overpowered SEA LEGS in a popular 1 minute
brutal one-sided Challenge melee. If Sea Legs has a face, it'll be red. This is an
embarrassing loss, yes? But then, all losses are embarrassing, when you get down to
it.
LAHRS ENNY (39-3400) (22-17-0,88) of CRIMINAL ELEMENT challenged KNEE BREAKER
(26-4770) (21-17-0,100) of ULTRA-VIOLENT. Up 18. LAHRS ENNY lost to KNEE BREAKER in
a popular 3 minute gory Challenge duel. If I haven't said "Welcome back" to Fizban,
consider that I'm saying it now.
IMMOVEABLE OBJECT (59-2110) (27-11-1,96) of NOT QUITE challenged WEE MAN (19-
5071) (20-23-0,100) of CUNNING RUNTS. Up 4. IMMOVEABLE OBJECT slimly won victory
over WEE MAN in a 10 minute Challenge duel. Ten minutes! That's immoveable enough
to go on with.
MARY ANN (47-4378) (19-28-0,115) of SCREEN DREAMS challenged HOCKEY DUCK (39-
937) (33-25-1,120) of DUCKS UNLIMITED. Up 5. MARY ANN handily defeated HOCKEY DUCK
in a 2 minute uneven Challenge fight. Any duck that hangs around here when he should
have gone south for the winter is just asking for trouble.

3130) (44-67-1,149) of CHILDREN OF LLYR. Up 22. TRASH CAN overpowered OWAIN HARLSON
in a 1 minute one-sided Challenge struggle. Owain got hit by enough thoroughly ripe
veggies thrown by fans that he is nominated as cook for the day. Vegetable soup, I
suppose.

by MODEL PRISONER in a 2 minute Challenge brawl. A tight one, or maybe a tense one,
or, well, however you want to phrase it: hard fought, and long enough to be
exciting.

exciting 2 minute Challenge fight. Watch that head swell! They say you should put a
steak on it, but I've never seen the point; the steak should go in the pan.
