REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Novogorodny Vir was, you know, here, and his work just makes me despair. I
mean, he carved his name in the desk, and spilled bear on the cushions, and, like, a
pig would've been neater. I just totally despair. And for other reasons, too, of
course. Well, you know, not everybody wants a skunk for, like, a lap cat! That's
the trouble with these golems. They want to be like real people, you know? But they
just don't get it. Oh, well. I am sitting outside on the lawn, well, it isn't
exactly a lawn today, because the grass isn't green yet, but you know what I mean,
and this nice little scribe is writing down what I say, and another one is bringing
me drinks with umbrellas in them, and I don't really care about anything after a
while. Not even about Galen taking my skis.
Blackest Pride was avoided by Darkmoon.
Tigress got the most challenges.
Nobody died.
Twenty-four fights, six challenges, all radio, no tv.
There wasn't much action, or ecitement either, and only one standby fought.
The longest fight was eight minutes, just time enough for the scribe to bring me
another drink with a numbrella in it. It takes him that long because of the fruit.
MOUSE NOYLE (17-6252) (25-40-0,73) of MIDDLE WAY fought ROSELLA (103-39) (26-25-
0,100) of the College of Mimes. MOUSE NOYLE defeated ROSELLA in a popular 1 minute
duel. Rosella doesn't like mice. What can I say? I mean, she yips and jumps up
onto the arenamaster's shoulders and stuff.
U.S. STEEL (49-3369) (25-29-0,76) of THE BONDS fought COLOSSUS (22-5820) (16-5-
0,53) of BLADES OF WONDER. U.S. STEEL overpowered COLOSSUS in a 1 minute one-sided
duel. The wonder of it all, and stuff like that. I mean, who cares? This U.S.
Steel guy is no fun, always talking about his investments, and Colossus never talks
at all.
DR MAX (73-5311) (18-3-0,90) of RACE THE WIND fought JELIAH BIGABO (35-3676)
(19-2-1,61) of PHILANTHROPISTS 3. DR MAX overpowered JELIAH BIGABO in a 1 minute
one-sided match. Dr Max says that Jelly Babies aren't good for you. I didn't know
that. Maybe if you put an umbrella in them?
RETRIBUTION (74-2982) (16-7-1,91) of BROTHERHOOD fought WHITEWING (13-4346) (25-
47-0,64) of CARDOW HUNTERS. RETRIBUTION was handily defeated by WHITEWING in a 1
minute uneven duel. Should it be "handy" if he used his wings? Or does he not have
wings? I mean, I didn't SEE any wings, except maybe just a sort of, you know,
suggestion. It isn't like he's eilithan, or however they say that.
T-BONE (13-3139) (25-8-0,171) of LEGION OF DUMB fought OSIRIS (19-4111) (32-24-
2,134) of ANARCHY. T-BONE defeated OSIRIS in an exciting 1 minute gory duel. Well,
of course. I mean, Osiris is a vegetarian, right? Can't do steaks. Doesn't even
have a (hic) clue.
LORD FIREFLASH (33-2966) (38-41-0,152) of LUROCIANS II fought LOPING WOLF (56-
1796) (69-114-0,112) of REDHORSE. LORD FIREFLASH was devastated by LOPING WOLF in a
2 minute one-sided contest. I don't know wy. I mean, why. I mean, what's a hundred
more fights when you look at it? Boring, that's what. See one fight and you've seen
lotsh.
SUPERIOR FORCES (33-4543) (70-110-2,171) of DUPLICATE REDUNDANCY fought GOSSAMER
(35-3656) (25-7-1,124) of PHILANTHROPISTS 2. SUPERIOR FORCES overpowered GOSSAMER in
a crowd pleasing 1 minute one-sided match. Because of being superior. Everybody
knowsh that.
LORD REDMOND (12-4109) (38-35-1,172) of LUROCIANS IV fought JULIUS (64-3641)
(78-100-2,166) of UNDER DURESS. LORD REDMOND was overpowered by JULIUS in an
exciting 1 minute one-sided bout. Does this mean that A-sop is really, really mad?
Gosh. Maybe SHE needs a drink with a numbrella in it.
KELOS (55-30) (69-100-3,165) of ROCANIS RIDERS fought JULIA (60-4651) (29-32-
0,134) of ROMPER ROOM. KELOS overpowered JULIA in a crowd pleasing 1 minute
mismatched brawl. Thish's jusht plain RUDE. But Kelos is, like, Rirorni, and they
went to school and MAJORED in rude. Maybe even coloneled. Is that more than a
major? Well, the GENERALED in rude.
FUNNY BUNNY (55-1862) (100-137-1,210) of RHYME TYME fought WRATH OF ONE (82-
11628) (19-14-2,160) of LUROCIANS XII. FUNNY BUNNY devastated WRATH OF ONE in a 1
minute uneven duel. I wish somebody would make rabbit shtew out of that bunny. He
hasn't been funny for years and YEARS.
MILA (55-29) (71-103-0,205) of ROCANIS RIDERS fought WHATCHA WANT (17-3627) (29-
30-5,156) of THE ARMAGEDDON. MILA handily defeated WHATCHA WANT in a popular 1
minute uneven fight. This ish, I mean, it IS because he wanted it all. Mila did.
That'sh why he raids caravans. To get it all.
TRYURLUCK (61-1029) (67-62-1,197) of BLOOD KNIGHTS fought LADY EMILY (33-6626)
(31-27-1,179) of LUROCIANS II. TRYURLUCK demolished LADY EMILY in a crowd pleasing 1
minute one-sided brawl. No luck for Emily. Too bad.
JOPPA CLUBFIST (12-3748) (28-23-0,206) of HALL OF GIANT fought THE WHEAT KING
(58-5407) (61-44-2,198) of AUTUMN LIGHTNING. JOPPA CLUBFIST was outwaited by THE
WHEAT KING in a crowd pleasing 8 minute conflict. This was the longesht fight. The
crowd was pleased because of having time to get drinks with lots of numbrellas, one
for everybody.

(42-41-3,182) of LUROCIANS II. PANIC ATTACK was overpowered by LORD LIGHTSPEED in a
1 minute one-sided fight. Because of not having time for a pnaic attack, I guesz.
NEBUCHADNEZZAR (22-5821) (37-30-0,212) of BLADES OF WONDER fought RED BARON (33-
1092) (41-43-3,202) of LUROCIANS II. NEBUCHADNEZZAR overpowered RED BARON in an
action packed 1 minute one-sided fight. I could overpower a pizza. Yesh, I know,
not the same red baron, but I shtill could overpower a pizza anyway. With extra
cheese.
SAVAGE SAGE (17-4022) (31-30-0,251) of IMMORTAL ASYLUM fought SMUG BUG (55-2900)
(49-83-0,188) of RHYME TYME. SAVAGE SAGE vanquished SMUG BUG in an action packed 2
minute uneven fight. I know abuot those sages. They EAT bugs. It'sh because
they're savage.
FRAIL WHALE (55-1968) (121-169-3,218) of RHYME TYME fought ROYLAND (56-3380)
(82-55-0,198) of REDHORSE. FRAIL WHALE vanquished ROYLAND in a 1 minute uneven duel.
I laughed like anything. Whatever laughs. I forget. Because Royland was striking a
pose at the shtart, and he SHOULD have been striking the whale. Oh, well.
Oh, the challenge matches. Already? Good.

3523) (26-43-1,80) of FISHERMAN'S WHARF. Down 5. SMILING GOAT devastated LULU in a

(54-85-0,133) of CARDOW HUNTERS. Down 8. ROWARDENN bested REDFOX in a popular 1

(32-35-0,138) of DARKMOON. Up 19. DARTMAN savagely defeated ARTEMISIA in an
exciting 2 minute bloody Challenge fight. With darts? In the arena? I didn't know
that was, like, allowed.

would.

The Contract
[as retold by Hammer the WordSmith]
What had begun as a contract for swords and armor between a well known name in
the DM community and the former VC Captain/WordSmith and WeaponSmith of the Vendetta
Cartel Tarantula Tribe was destined to impact and altar the landscape of the dueling
community for years to come.
The following is but a condensed retelling of history in the making.
Hammer continued sipping his tankard of Elven Tonic as the mysterious hooded
figure quietly seated himself across the table from the Veteran Manager whose back
was against the wall; allowing for a subtle, but effective surveillance of the dimly
lit tavern.
Recent events in both Illis and North Fork/SCOMSS Swamp Arena had stunned the DM
managerial world with the announcement that Hammer had resigned from his position as
a well respected member of the Vendetta Cartel Alliance.
Those managers and associates closest to Hammer were shocked and dismayed that
there seemed to be NO Rational Explanation for Hammer making such a seemingly
irrational, hasty and extremely illogical decision; by what seemed to be a spur of
the moment reaction following the Declaration of War by Hammer in the DM 47 P-ads.
This is what stirred the mysterious hooded figure to seek Hammer with a request
that would change the managerial course of both men; ultimately Rocking the
Managerial World of Alastari as a result of the forthcoming decisions reached by the
two Veterans.
Time passed swiftly as both Veteran Managers discussed how the landscape of the
DM game on the sands of Alastari had changed over the years both in Basic and Tourney
play; producing a new breed of managers who would of necessity band together in an
alliance with a common goal; waging war against antagonists while improving the
managerial skills of each participating member in their glorious quest for DM
excellence.
Hammer listened intently as his unexpected guest inquired about the situation in
North Fork/SCOMSS Swamp Arena; revealing his desire to participate in the upcoming
Turf War 4 contest in DM 47 with an alliance that would accept him on a more
permanent basis other than for just fighting together as a TW4 alliance to win fame
and Gift Certs.
Here was a Veteran Manager, seeking the advice of Hammer regarding an alliance
to join on a permanent basis; plus extending a sword arm of friendship and requesting
that Hammer join him as an alliance mate with those who would welcome their
membership.
The Iron in the Words of Hammer had produced this opportunity as a result of the
recent conflicts witnessed first hand by the manager seated across the table from
Hammer. This Veteran Manager had been secretly searching and scouting around
Alastari for someone worth his mettle to fight alongside; someone who would know
where to find the perfect gang of rebels who were unafraid of waging war against
anyone.
Hammer knew exactly where to look and in a matter of days the two newcomers were
welcomed into the ranks of a group of managers who received them as war waging equals
in an alliance that had joined a Confederation of Alliances for the TW4 contest.
Fighting under the banner of The Illuminati Confederation of Alliances alongside
members of Chaos Inc, kLk and The Company of Brothers during the TW4 was more than
either of the two Veteran Managers had envisioned a few months ago.
Hammer was now entering a new journey with a new attitude.
Perhaps you readers may have noticed that new attitude by now since this
announcement by Hammer is uncharacteristically Exclamation Point Free.
Except for the famous quote by Hammer at the end of this announcement.

an alliance whose members have welcomed them enthusiastically; let those who desire
