Reflections by the Keeper of the Runeblade
Oh, wow!
So I'm Keeper of the Runeblade for the second time in a row. I would be, you
know, a little more impressed with myself if this were a bigger arena.
My fight with Mark was pretty exciting! He was totally in charge the first
minute, and he kept hitting me. In the second minute, I hit him a bunch of times.
But at the beginning of the third minute, the judges still said he was ahead. I got
in a really, really hard hit at the beginning of the third minute and it seemed like
Mark couldn't quite get over that. Except that he hit me on the arm, knocked me
down, and wow, that hurt. I got up, he hit me and I fell to my knees. But then...
he backed away. I think he was getting tired. Yeah, he was definitely getting
tired. At the beginning of the fifth minute I hit him one more time with all my
strength, and he motioned to Lady Greywand that he was unable to continue.
You know, I'm a Wall of Steel and I fight pretty hard. I don't really think of
myself as a defensive fighter. But I guess that to some styles, a Waste is a scum.

It was a rather short fight day. There were only fifteen, and even the scummy
ones don't last very long. There were no challenges and no avoids.
TOLAIS DEEPHEART (42-1620) (141-151-0,207) of HIGHLANDERS fought GAR & BRILL
(38-4252) (94-167-2,185) of JUST BECAUSE. TOLAIS DEEPHEART devastated GAR & BRILL in
a 1 minute mismatched Title fight. The curvaceous Ms. Deepheart remains our top-
rated Wall of Steel, as well as our Keeper of the Runeblade.
CLIVE (6-5215) (56-57-5,185) of THE LADY'S LIST fought SOLACIA (104-24) (68-32-
0,225) of the Invincibles. CLIVE was subdued by SOLACIA in a 2 minute brutal melee.
Argh. Clive is nonetheless our top Slasher.
ZAKAU (5-4623) (63-66-0,187) of JOHNS fought LAUGHING BARMAID (104-9) (0-0-
0,170) of the Invincibles. ZAKAU was defeated by LAUGHING BARMAID in a crowd
pleasing 1 minute duel. Again, argh, and Zakau is our top Lunger. The stand-ins are
now 2-0.
BACKFIRE (37-1713) (31-19-0,203) of BATTLEFIELD EARTH fought MARK (5-4088) (70-
158-3,196) of JOHNS. BACKFIRE was devastated by MARK in an exciting 1 minute one-
sided fight. Mark is our top Parry-Lunger.
MEN WORKING (38-4189) (81-244-1,196) of JUST BECAUSE fought BLIND BEGGAR (104-
26) (40-35-0,200) of the Invincibles. MEN WORKING was devastated by BLIND BEGGAR in
a 1 minute uneven brawl. Ouch. Men Working is our top Basher AND Overall Popularity
Leader, and the stand-ins are 3-0.
P.M.S. (2-2716) (32-34-1,162) of MY EX-WIFE fought MIKEL (6-6190) (44-51-3,105)
