REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Here we are! Born to be Kings! We're the princes of the universe!!! Or at
least we sure do act like it sometimes. I feel a little weird today, so don't be
surprised if it comes out that way in my report. We had 12 challenge matches and
another random matchup for the top spot. I must say, I'm ashamed that no one in all
of once mighty Andorak had the stones to challenge for the right to wear the Cape of
King's Sentinel. It's a very nice cape: crimson with an eagle embroidered in gold
thread on the back, with a fur lining that can be easily removed in the summer when
it isn't needed. I would be damn proud to wear the thing, myself. Hopefully we'll
see a change in this...dare I say it?...cowardice...now that Doc Steele is back.
Maybe the good Doc will be kind enough to upchallenge one time just to give a little
variety? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

2274) (72-79-7,209) of X-FORCE. JE SUIS BIEN slimly won victory over DEADPOOL in a 6
minute Challenge fight. Up 3. This is a big win for SoV and his crew. I know
Deadpool pretty well, considering I saw every fight he had back in Tarrgir. I missed
the Dead tourney he came back in, but I heard he was particularly vicious. Congrats
to Je Suis Bien on a victorious UC!
FREE BOX (60-4964) (24-14-1,249) of BOXES challenged HEATHER (48-3062) (88-162-
7,190) of STARS. FREE BOX savagely defeated HEATHER in a 2 minute brutal Challenge
melee. Down 59. What brilliant strategy! No, really, I mean it! Look at her
record!?! The poor little lady from Stars never had a chance! Congrats to Free Box
on another win. Care to take a shot at the title?
VISION (26-1573) (48-25-2,227) of HEADBANGERS challenged MICHAEL HONORBLADE (11-
3300) (97-59-0,237) of KNIGHTS OF VIRTUE. VISION was savagely defeated by MICHAEL
HONORBLADE in a 7 minute Challenge duel. Up 10. Looks like SoV is doing a great job
fighting the ol' Andorian way. Not a DC in the bunch for several cycles. Thanks for
being a team player! Too bad you picked the wrong opponent for Vision, as those
Knights of Virtue are all pretty old (and tough). Better luck next time.
GIMETHATSHIELD (26-1306) (47-39-1,184) of HEADBANGERS challenged WARLOCK (66-
2473) (69-107-2,187) of X-FORCE. GIMETHATSHIELD overpowered WARLOCK in a 4 minute
one-sided Challenge fight. Another win for Gime over the hapless Warlock. Seems to
me that the old fly-boy only wins when he avoids the TPs. Thanks to SoV for only
challenging the old dog when Gime is below him.
PEPSI (68-8510) (53-26-0,201) of OVERWORLD challenged SALINE LAMORAK (11-4261)
(34-59-0,205) of SCARLET KNIGHTS. PEPSI was devastated by SALINE LAMORAK in a 2
minute one-sided Challenge duel. Up 4. DEVASTATED!!! That's a powerful word, isn't
it, Pepsi? Saline smacked you around for two minutes. You're an embarrassment to
soft drinks...Saline indeed.
HOMELESS PRINCE (22-6012) (29-11-1,179) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS challenged WARPATH
(66-2926) (56-97-4,202) of X-FORCE. HOMELESS PRINCE was bested by WARPATH in a
popular 1 minute Challenge competition. Up 23. Stupid challenge of the turn, as the
Homeless one decides to revisit earlier losses by challenging Warpath...again. Hey,
I know! Challenge down to a warrior you CAN beat and see if you can pull a win!

minute uneven Challenge melee. Up 29! Now THAT'S how you represent Aruak City,
Crissy! A big UC versus a more experienced opponent for a huge win! Many
congratulations to View Askew for proving the Cadre and all the rest of the
"Defenders" right.

1404) (43-95-2,134) of MIKES. SWEET TOOTH vanquished HUMMEL in a action packed 1
minute uneven Challenge fight. Up 6. Smart. This was a very well placed (if low
point spread) challenge that also represents Aruak City well.
FUNKY ELVIS (30-2754) (25-16-1,144) of TRIP OUT challenged SANDS (11-4123) (40-
62-3,160) of SCARLET KNIGHTS. FUNKY ELVIS was overpowered by SANDS in a 1 minute
one-sided Challenge fight. Up 16. Funky Elvis got some sand in his eyes, and it was
all over but the shouting. Congrats to Sands for not dropping further into
obscurity.

4337) (19-11-1,86) of TRIP OUT. GEORGE BUSH was handily defeated by SONIC TACO in a
1 minute one-sided Challenge bout. Up 4. George didn't fare well against a Sonic
Taco. Maybe he should try a Taco Bell Grande. Congrats to Sonic for the win.

O'Reilly by saying that "for the most part" Papaiz is the only one you down-challenge
anymore. In the same turn you say that, we see MAXIMUS down-challenging 10 pts on
the Scarlet Knights. The turn before, HOMELESS PRINCE went down 17 points for a
Farscape warrior. Definitely making progress in an honorable direction, but over the
last two turns, 25% of your successful challenges have been down and not to Papaiz.

AND AVOIDS illegal. I say BAN both TACTICS from the game forever! If for any other
reason, just so we do not have to talk about it all the time!? However, while they
are legal tactics in this STRATEGY GAME, I will use them to the best advantage I can.
That way I don't have to be like all your Andorian heroes out there, with a giant
list of exceptions for when I will Downchallenge and when I won't. You may not like
it, but at least with me you get what you pay for. Now that being said, I would be
telling only a half truth if I did not admit how much it amuses me when some of you
get all worked up over it. So this is my yearly reminder to all of you that this is
a game, downchallenges are legal, and concepts like "honor" and "competitive spirit"
are thrown around far too often, and far too loosely in this game. Think NYFD, when
you think about honor. Think about our troops dying in battle, so that you are free
to argue inane topics with me in this newsletter. Don't lecture me about how honor

As a Captain of the Vendetta Cartel, Hammer has recently dissolved the Vendetta
Cartel Crimson Ascension Family. Lady Martilyo and Rook are NO LONGER members of the
Vendetta Cartel.
The Vendetta Cartel is divided into "Families" under the leadership of Captains;
who have been appointed by the VC God Father known throughout the dueling land as
Master Darque.
Hammer is now the Captain of the Vendetta Cartel Tarantula Tribe and the veteran
manager extends an invitation for prospective membership as a Probate [ONLY 2 Probate
positions are available in the VC Tarantula Tribe at the present time!] to any Newbie
