And boy, did we have a lot of them! Sixteen challenges, one fight versus a stand-by
(a loss for Warlock), and a challenge from the throne! Forty-three fights in all,
and a lot of movement in the rankings. Let's get down to brass tacks:

SHIELDGUARD (11-4304) (47-46-0,225) of SCARLET KNIGHTS. JESUS unbelievably bested
TALISMAN SHIELDGUARD in a 2 minute Challenge battle. Up 3. A surprise only on paper
(looking at their records) and even then only if you ignore win percentage. Great
job on this challenge. Managers should pay more attention to their warriors if they
want them to have winning records....
HOMELESS PRINCE (22-6012) (30-13-1,204) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS challenged HEATHER
(48-3062) (89-164-7,198) of STARS. HOMELESS PRINCE was overpowered by HEATHER in a 1
minute mismatched Challenge duel. Down 6. Tsk, tsk. And after so many turns
without a single transgression. Shame on you, SoV. Shame indeed. The loss serves
you right, Homeless one.
VISION (26-1573) (49-27-2,205) of HEADBANGERS challenged STELLA BLUE (53-6167)
(28-16-1,212) of PUERCO'S PINATA. VISION was overpowered by STELLA BLUE in a 2
minute mismatched Challenge match. Up 7. And another loss to pay you back for the
DC.... <grin>
FLINGLEBITS (46-2836) (44-12-0,183) of TUFT-TASTIC! challenged FREE BOX (60-
4964) (25-16-1,204) of BOXES. FLINGLEBITS luckily beat FREE BOX in a exciting 6
minute bloody Challenge struggle. Up 21! Flinglebits takes it to Free Box this
cycle, bringing ol' Doc Steele's team percentage down some more. C'mon, Doc. You
can do it!!!
KILIM ALTARAXE (53-6251) (41-28-0,189) of TORSCHIAN TUFTS challenged JE SUIS
BIEN (26-626) (92-51-1,192) of HEADBANGERS. KILIM ALTARAXE viciously subdued JE SUIS
BIEN in a 2 minute Challenge fight. Up 3. Kilim does this out of spite, you know.
He heard all about how SoV is such a "bad" guy and wanted to punish one of his
warriors. I heard he plans on handing all your warriors their tales, SoV. Whatcha
gonna do about it?
JOHN ROCKER (5-3657) (34-18-0,184) of DEATH BY STUPIDITY challenged WOLVERINE
(66-3871) (37-50-4,187) of X-FORCE. JOHN ROCKER vanquished WOLVERINE in a 1 minute
uneven Challenge duel. Up 3. Looking at the fight difference (and Wolverine's
kills) one would have thought that Mr. Rocker was trying to live up to his team name.
Turns out he had something else in mind.
CRISSY (11-4993) (25-15-2,175) of VIEW ASKEW challenged JOE SATRIANI (11-4422)
(23-27-2,180) of THE HEADCUTTERS II. CRISSY was overpowered by JOE SATRIANI in a 1
minute uneven Challenge duel. Up 5. Well done, Crissy. I continue to be impressed
by your efforts here in the greatest arena on the Isle.
DUNCAN (41-1994) (36-29-1,178) of THUNDERSTRUCK challenged PUSSYCAT (14-3701)
(51-59-1,183) of THE DOGHOUSE. DUNCAN was overpowered by PUSSYCAT in a 1 minute one-
sided Challenge fight. Up 5. Duncan mistakenly thought Pussycat would be a
pushover, didn't he. Turns out, he was the one being carried off the field. Well
done, Pussycat. Well done.
SWEET SWEAT (71-3477) (16-14-1,173) of SCENT OF A WOMAN challenged WISTERIA (11-
3786) (31-16-0,179) of WHAT'S YOUR POISON. SWEET SWEAT was defeated by WISTERIA in a
exciting 1 minute Challenge match. Up 6. Wisteria didn't even let the Sweet one get
close enough to smell. Evidently, the Scent of a Woman's Sweet Sweat is all too
familiar to the Poisonous one.
PYROTECHNICIAN (52-2847) (19-14-1,119) of THE FURIOUS FIVE challenged HUMMEL
(14-1404) (44-97-2,127) of MIKES. PYROTECHNICIAN bested HUMMEL in a 2 minute bloody
Challenge conflict. Up 8. Small challenges about this turn, but at least some
managers are putting a little time and effort into their warriors. Pyro is to be
commended for his UC in recognition, wins, and losses (especially those!). Kudos to
you, Pyro!
FUNKY ELVIS (30-2754) (26-18-1,136) of TRIP OUT challenged BLACKRAZOR (11-4091)
(41-66-0,136) of SCARLET KNIGHTS. FUNKY ELVIS savagely defeated BLACKRAZOR in a
crowd pleasing 2 minute Challenge match. Even.
STORM LXV (60-4972) (27-10-0,145) of DEATH STUDS VII challenged GUESS MY STYLE
(40-3407) (29-14-0,145) of SUPERIOR FORCES. STORM LXV viciously subdued GUESS MY
STYLE in a popular 3 minute Challenge conflict. Even.
COLWYN QUICKSILVER (11-4342) (24-10-2,99) of TUFT TUGGERS challenged SMITH (14-
1282) (46-97-4,109) of MIKES. COLWYN QUICKSILVER was overpowered by SMITH in a 1
minute uneven Challenge struggle. Up 10. Finally, another double-digit UC. Smith
was a little too much for Colwyn, but at least there is a little effort going on
there. Many challenges posted by Adie's crew this week. You make me proud,
girlfriend!
ERICKA BEARICKA (63-2461) (17-10-0,47) of MONSTER CHILD challenged MAXIMUS (22-
5966) (27-18-3,88) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS. ERICKA BEARICKA was overcome by MAXIMUS in a
4 minute Challenge bout. Up 41! And not our biggest UC for the turn! Ericka
reached for the stars and fell a little short, slimly losing a tough bout in 4
minutes as Maximus was simply too good to be overcome.
DIESEL (26-4277) (17-18-0,56) of WARCKERS challenged SONIC TACO (30-4337) (20-
13-1,100) of TRIP OUT. DIESEL was devastated by SONIC TACO in a 1 minute mismatched
Challenge brawl. Up 44!!! Here's the biggest one! Free drinks for both Diesel and
Ericka (see above) on their great challenges this turn. Sonic Taco is too good to
lose on this type of match up, but it was still the kind of effort Andorak is famous
for.

Adie -- I do not really want to split hairs here, but I do apologize if I came off as
"telling you what to do." That has never been my intention. I have always tried to
explain how I think about the game, so that you guys would maybe back off a little
with the Doc Steele is evil routine. I don't mind playing the villain, but all the
personal stuff about a lack of honor is ridiculous. I support the abolishment of
down challenges & avoids by the Commission from the entire game of Duel2. That being
said, I have never understood why any of you decided on role-playing a way that gave
you an actual game disadvantage. That makes no sense to me in a strategy game. I
did not call for the vote on how we should handle the atmosphere in Andorak, that was
your spy reporter. I only answered in a way I hoped would be amusing. You
apparently took that answer, maybe without knowing the spy reporter brought it up,
made a left turn and went way off the reservation with this "don't tell me what to
do" stuff. I'm sure this will not make a difference, as the general hatred for me in
this game has risen to a weird sort of status quo, but I like for my position to be

Sablon-O-Vlad -- Terrible was a poor choice of words, Free Box has had trouble making
easy trains, so she has been stagnant in her development. She is also quite a few
cuts below the usual warrior I run here. As for why I run her, well, that is because
I didn't have anyone else ready to bring here back at the split who was better. I
was not active for a while in AD in general. If I don't run, I would not be top
team, and that is being way too kind to my Andorian fans. They can say what they
want, but it kills them to look up the standings and see that 79.3% record. -- Doc

Our next Winter Face-to-Face will be held on Martin Luther King weekend, Friday
through Sunday, 14-16 January 2005, at the Embassy Suites in Tempe, Arizona (4400 S
Rural Rd--this is the same hotel as last year). Room rates are $139.00 per night,
1-4 occupancy, which includes breakfast. The rooms are blocked. The reservations
number is 480-897-7444; tell them you're with the "Reality Simulations Face to Face
Convention" block. Our room block will be released in mid-December, so please make
sure you reserve your room before then!
Room rates include a full cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary two-hour
manager's reception. There is a free shuttle to the airport, as well as free parking.
The hotel is located down the freeway in Tempe. All rooms have high speed internet
(for an extra charge). There is a fitness center, jacuzzi, and pool, and of course a
bar and Mexican restaurant inside the hotel. And there's Denny's right across the
street. Look for transportation info in the tournament information sheet.
The tournament information sheet/strategy sheet should be out sometime in late
November/early December.
If you haven't been to a Face-to-Face before, you're overdue. If you have,
