It is nice to see that the best warrior in the arena is at the top. Get used to it.
I'll be here a while.

Memphis

                             REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER

Well, here we are again. It's the again and again part that gets to me
sometimes. I thank the gods I don't have to do this for Primus, where there's a much
stronger "again and again" effect.
But this is NOT Primus, so let's take a look at things and see what we've got.
Nineteen fights, involving four standbys. Not good, but I've seen worse. Only
one challenge? Gods. But at least it was a TV challenge, which should count for
something a little more. Caddy Jackknife got the most challenges, but for some
reason fought a random match; work that out for yourselves. The most avoids were
issued against the Wanderers, listen, they aren't infectious. It was The Plague
doing the avoidind. Courtesy between Kateians? Well... good. A little courtesy
makes variety.

The fights: I have to talk about them all, or the spy report will shrink to the
size of a pen or even a pin. The eye in pin is smaller than the ee in pen, thus it
is more shrunken. Or, um, something like that. It's been a strange day. Very cold,
for one thing.
LURLINE GRACE (41-4164) (15-18-0,50) of WANDERERS fought SOLARIS (46-3759) (25-
58-0,64) of RUBY DRAGONS. LURLINE GRACE devastated SOLARIS in an action packed 3
minute brutal one-sided bout. I'm sure this made Lurline's day, and unless her
teammates have done well, also, it may have rendered her difficult to live with for
the next two weeks. It's a risk one takes.
SATURN (41-3990) (16-59-0,56) of WANDERERS fought OHRLAM (105-2) (0-0-0,60) of
the College of Mimes. SATURN was savagely defeated by OHRLAM in a crowd pleasing 2
minute bloody fight. The bookies are giving five to one odds that Saturn will lose
if matched with a random dishwasher. It might be interesting to watch, but I don't
think it's going to happen.
MARS (41-3989) (20-10-0,89) of WANDERERS fought TARIN SHARPEYES (105-3) (0-0-
0,100) of the College of Mimes. MARS was beaten by TARIN SHARPEYES in a 1 minute
bout. I have to wonder about this Sharpeyes character. Why has some manager not
snapped him up? What is he DOING here on the Isle? There is little place, and much
suspicion, for an unattached warrior here, especially one of such ability. Yes,
okay, Mars is not a good test, but a LOT of warriors seem to lose to Sharpeyes.
SHADOW OUT OF TIME (41-1622) (24-16-1,93) of THE PLAGUE fought PARNIAN (41-4138)
(21-27-1,77) of WANDERERS. SHADOW OUT OF TIME overpowered PARNIAN in a 1 minute one-
sided bout. Next time, bring a nightlight, Parnian.
WARDUKE (11-5930) (39-48-3,148) of SCARLET KNIGHTS II fought FLUTTERLEE (41-
4153) (23-19-0,103) of WANDERERS. WARDUKE handily defeated FLUTTERLEE in a crowd
pleasing 1 minute mismatched bout. And who can wonder at this, after all? I have
the strongest impression that Flutterlee is not the material from which a great
gladiator can be made.

LUKARIAN LAMORAK (11-4841) (54-66-1,131) of SCARLET KNIGHTS fought GRANDPA RAT
(22-6549) (26-10-2,148) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS. LUKARIAN LAMORAK was defeated by GRANDPA
RAT in an action packed 3 minute struggle. No doubt the Wanderers will be pleased to
see someone ELSE go down before the Rat.
KHORNE SHADOWSPAWN (46-3809) (44-34-1,179) of RUBY DRAGONS fought DEAD OF WINTER
(41-970) (31-28-2,145) of THE PLAGUE. KHORNE SHADOWSPAWN was handily defeated by
DEAD OF WINTER in a 1 minute conflict. Speaking as one who is living in the middle
of a dead of winter at this time, I am not in the least surprised at Khorne's
capitulation.
VAN HELSING (11-6338) (40-28-1,165) of SCARLET KNIGHTS II fought LAWRENCE THE
SOT (105-10) (0-0-0,150) of the College of Mimes. VAN HELSING demolished LAWRENCE
THE SOT in a 1 minute one-sided brawl. Perhaps this will cure Lawrence of his
sottish ways. But then again, this kind of thing may be the source of them.
CONNOR MACLEOD (11-5532) (50-55-0,185) of SCARLET KNIGHTS II fought GHRYSHAN
(105-25) (0-0-0,181) of the College of Mimes. CONNOR MACLEOD demolished GHRYSHAN in
a 1 minute mismatched competition. Well, good. The standbys here are getting above
themselves. If they were allowed to keep the skills and rank they might reasonably
be expected to learn from these fights, they could be Inducted, which would be a good
thing! We need NEW standbys.
DEATH FOG (45-4017) (38-17-0,209) of SUPERIOR FORCES fought IRIADOR (50-2481)
(60-39-2,203) of DRUID'S GROVE. DEATH FOG beat IRIADOR in an exciting 1 minute
fight. That's because it was a FREEZING fog, and it froze right onto Iriador's
armor, turning him into a pillar of ice. Although I don't know why anyone would
consider this an exciting encounter.

VAJRA VALMEJAR (11-4928) (52-63-0,182) of SCARLET KNIGHTS fought HUMMEL (14-
1404) (70-131-2,175) of MIKES. VAJRA VALMEJAR was assassinated by HUMMEL in a 1
minute uneven match. I believe this may be a case of a Worm Turning. Not something
you see often, but it looks clear to me. An extreme example.
TALISMAN SHIELDGUARD (11-4304) (67-86-0,204) of SCARLET KNIGHTS fought BLIND
GIRL (22-6041) (29-8-0,175) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS. TALISMAN SHIELDGUARD savagely
defeated BLIND GIRL in an action packed 3 minute duel. This hardly seems grasshopper
of Talisman, to beat up on a poor, inexperienced, blind, young lady. But then, they
may have a personal history of which we know nothing. I could spin one, given a
little encouragement.
LUCIAS CLAY (22-6359) (37-25-0,204) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS fought WARPATH (66-2926)
(80-136-4,196) of X-FORCE. LUCIAS CLAY was handily defeated by WARPATH in an action
packed 1 minute uneven melee. What? Merely because Warpath has three or four times
the fights of Lucy? Talk about "unfair," this one may belong in the books.
SMITH (14-1282) (73-130-4,184) of MIKES fought SANDS (11-4123) (61-104-3,205) of
SCARLET KNIGHTS. SMITH devastated SANDS in a 1 minute one-sided competition. What
is it with the Mikes today? They seem practically... aggressive!

BLACKRAZOR (11-4091) (60-107-1,190) of SCARLET KNIGHTS fought POETIC JUICE (66-
2975) (50-37-0,202) of ANDORIAN UNIVERSITY. BLACKRAZOR was defeated by POETIC JUICE
in an exciting 4 minute struggle. P.J. invites all to visit the Arena Museum to see
his, ah, "Jack Polack in Blood," subtitled "a poetic application of the vital
juices." It's... different, I'll say that for it. He seems to have used his
opponent's own razor to prepare it.
     VISION (26-1573) (90-46-3,243) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS fought GOKU (46-3655) (67-60-
2,202) of DRAGONBALL Z. VISION outlasted GOKU in a crowd pleasing 8 minute gruesome
competition. Yes, well, they do tell us that patience is a valuable quality, perhaps
even a virtue. So is a can-opener.
HOMELESS PRINCE (22-6012) (63-40-1,216) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS fought WOLVERINE (66-
3871) (50-97-4,188) of X-FORCE. HOMELESS PRINCE devastated WOLVERINE in a popular 1
minute one-sided contest. Naturally enough. When you don't have a home to speak of,
just a slightly sheltered doorway at the back of a warehouse, naturally you will
resist the intrusion of a wild animal. And few animals come wilder.
CADDY JACKKNIFE (11-4288) (54-31-1,214) of GERFEL'S FRIENDS fought NIXIE
SEASPRITE (11-4992) (50-55-0,182) of SCARLET KNIGHTS. CADDY JACKKNIFE overcame NIXIE
SEASPRITE in a popular 3 minute gruesome match. Ah, this is our Most Challenged
warrior, and when you note the neatness and dispatch with which he concluded this
fight, you have to wonder about the challengers.

And for the title: MEMPHIS (82-29598) (27-12-0,274) of KELLUMBO'S KIDS 26 TV
challenged SOLAR SISTER (71-5609) (31-12-1,240) of THE FURIOUS FIVE. Down 34.
MEMPHIS devastated SOLAR SISTER in a 2 minute mismatched Challenge Title fight. I
hear that Sister is furious about it. Congratulations to Memphis on the win and
having the TV challenge to use, and to Solar Sister on making Memphis work for that
win.

Blackstorm -- Welcome!!!! It is good to see the winter has not overcome you!!! I
assume it is cold as !@#@#$ right now??? -- Reaper
P.S. Will you be bringing a horde with you or is this a toe in the water?

Lurline -- Sorry for the late ad, Reaper is having some issues with his "real"
life... I am sure that the way things go we will meet again... - Shadow Out Of Time

Leeta -- Doesn't bother me; I have actually found it interesting.... In the past it
was rare to have two warriors repeat match ups so frequently. It is interesting,
things to learn. Besides there is plenty of good company. Although I am tiring of
seeing William the Stubborn.... -- Reaper
P.S. I find the invisible ceiling effect more frustrating. I will be back for turn
445 and perhaps we will meet again...

Aradne -- Miss me? So honored, mentions in the spy report even though I am not
here.... I hope I can earn a few this turn. -- Reaper

Grandpa Rat -- We're really TIRED of fighting you, but even getting killed by you is
better than the darned standbys. -- Flutterlee

Solaris -- Well, that was a pleasure! Taking you for the win AND four skills...
that's the way it SHOULD go. -- Mars

Ohrlam -- Oh, gods, it's you again. But at least you aren't increasing in your
skills. For that small mercy, I am truly thankful. -- Lurline Grace

Shinorr -- Show up in MY bathtub, bub, and I'll drown you. -- Parnian
P.S. Happily.

Tarin Sharpeyes -- I can see why my teammates dislike you so completely. I shall
join them in that atitude. -- Saturn

The Council of Lords would like to propose a rule change in ADM and Primus. We
propose that Lord Protectors ranked "Grand Champions" and below (ADM) and "The Tower
Guard" and below (Primus) be allowed to fight in the Dark Arena. This would not
impact the top rankings or title match. Any managers who never got his fill or shot
at fighting Gateway monsters would have it as an option. We believe it might spark
some interest in the ADM/Primus realm for some managers. If interested, speak up in
the newsletters or on forums under the "rules changes" thread and let RSI know. This
could even be something to try for 12 months and then be re-evaluated. What say you,
managers of Ghea? -- The Icelord sends....

     "Show me the money!"
This is the battle cry of a newly formed collection of like-minded individuals:
The High Dolla' Free Agent$. We are not a tough guy alliance: No...we offer no
battle without reward. We search for victory and the prizes and accolades that
follow. We are motivated by winning and will freely use whatever means necessary to
obtain our currency. No stuffy rules, no mandates, no constitutions, no leaders,
only a few objectives:
     1) Win as often as possible
     2) Celebrate freely and revel in your victories; the more meaningless the
victory the more we celebrate. Highsiding and chest thumping are encouraged.
Ostentatious endzone celebrations with prop usage are encouraged, regardless of
fines, penalties, suspensions or arrest by local authorities. It is important to let
your opponent know how great you are; more importantly, you must let your own
alliance mates know how great you are.
This is a 1-up alliance, let the performance of your fellow Free Agent$ motivate
