I *still* can't lay a hand on the Cranberry Cupcake recipe! Murphy is obviously
eating them. He'll get fat, and maybe he'll BURST from pigging out like that. Works
for me!
But I note, looking back, that at one point I promised the recipe for Muffin Tin
Donuts and did not get a chance to deliver, so here is THAT one, at least. Sorry,
Ardane.
This makes about twelve "donuts." Yes, of course they aren't donuts by SHAPE, but
taste 'em, and you'll be satisfied. Trust me on this.
For the donuts:
2 3/4 cups of flour. Just ordinary, all-purpose flour.
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup buttermilk
8 tablespoons (1 stick or .25 pound) butter, unsalted if convenient, melted
2 large eggs, plus an extra yolk
Mix the dry stuff in one bowl, the wet in another (have someone else handy to do
the dishes). Add the wet to the dry, no heavy stirring. Bake in greased muffin pan
for about twenty minutes at four hundred degrees. Let them cool in the pan for five
minutes.
Meanwhile, combine:
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Melt another 8 tablespoons of butter.
One at a time, take the muffins out of the tin, brush 'em with the butter, and
roll them in the cinnamon-sugar. Let them cool fifteen minutes, guarding them
closely from predators (kids are especially bad).

You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to ANDORAK once again! What's with MICHAEL COOPER? He actually
beat 24 HOURS OF DOOM's DOMINATION, and walked away with 26 more points from the
fight. Laughs were big at WRATHMEN VI while they watched KHANAMIR clobber KETTELMAN.
He lost 12 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. Another
fighter (KHRISTOPHER 57-25-0) challenged another Duelmaster (SARINA 94-103-2). Life
goes on. I can barely restrain my enthusiam for WRATHMEN's outstanding member,
Duelmaster KHRISTOPHER. Wouldn't it be nice to have live subjects to practice on? I
hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges...
Warriors of ANDORAK unite. You have only your games to lose! Many a warrior
has met his fate in a hungover stupor. You young rapscallions, take note!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? Are
you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm writing it
