REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Whoosh! I'm a little wiped out here, probably can't say much. I went to the
tourney. Being a spy reporter, I got a free ticket, and I couldn't WASTE it, you
know. Besides, I wanted to see what it was like. I mean, I never went to one before.
I tell you what, it was crowded. Thousands of people, it was like shopping on the
Maul here on the Isle. Mostly spectators and, um, staffish type people attached to
the big managers, but hundreds or maybe even thousands of gladiators, too. I didn't
try to count 'em, that would have been Higher Math, and I don't do that stuff. It was
just totally confused, as far as I could see. All these different levels of the
tourney sort of overlapping; it was a three-arena circus. And the party afterwards,
wow! Just WOW! Which is probably how I got so wiped out, not that I really remember.
But, okay, Andorak. Alarond said there were lots of things happening here today,
but I must've missed 'em. I mean, twelve total fights, no challenges, no avoids, two
standbys. Yeah, okay, lots of you people, and for sure your managers, were at the
tourney, too, and probably got just as wiped out as me, I guess.
Here's what Alarond had to say, not all the curly bits, just about the fights.
"SHAVED MONKEY fought KHYLAR and gained 30 points and contributed to SECOND CHANCES'
1-0-0." That's KHYLAR (36-4613) (67-31-0,203) of WRATHMEN fought SHAVED MONKEY (71-

4783) (76-76-0,238) of SUPERIOR FORCES 22T. DARK CHAMPION was viciously subdued by
BARBARIAN in a 2 minute Title fight. Good going, Barbarian.
In other bits of gossip, Alarond says that the Crimson Eagle uses trolls in their
stew. Bah, that's nothing. What's WORSE is that they use TOFU as well.
"We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close?" Women like a man who shaves close. This "I shaved last week" look?
Pass on that. And "A brave warrior does not carry a red shield, he has nothing to
cover or hide when the fight is over." I never have figured out that one.
