                                 THE GUARDIAN'S FORUM
Reflections by the Chief Tower Guard

Greetings, all. What a great feeling it is to be your Tower Guardian. I told you I
would do it. I told you I would make it to this point before I went to Primus. I
will not be here this turn because of my trip to Primus but I know that there are a
number of the Mun's men that would be perfect for this spot when I leave. Good luck
to you all and fare well.

Father of all Muns
Long live the Mun

                             REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER

So, you were expecting Livia, were you? She's been... delayed. Quite an
ordinary thing to happen, if you know the right people. And why shouldn't I do the
spy report, after all? It used to be my job, Livia was MY assistant, my SECRETARY,
dammit. Where does SHE get off being the spy reporter? Women don't understand these
things.

Drinking Buddies, a useless bunch of elves from Xochithlan, was avoided by
Andorian Knights. Ah. One knows what to think about THAT? Did I mention I'm
Delarquan?
Sir Yder got the most challenges, the gods know why. Probably looked like an
easy win.

SNOWFALL (45-3473) (25-14-0,64) of NORTHERN LIGHTS fought RANCID WAIF (8-4413)
(16-9-0,57) of HAPLESS WAIF. SNOWFALL overpowered RANCID WAIF in a 1 minute one-
sided fight. A Free Blades wench who's probably no better than she has to be, and an
Andorian of questionable personal cleanliness. Nothing to interest the discerning.
BINGE N PURGE (45-3567) (18-10-0,74) of EMETICS fought MAPPATES HAMMER (33-5597)
(15-9-2,52) of MILCHAMAH HAMMERZ. BINGE N PURGE overcame MAPPATES HAMMER in an
exciting 1 minute conflict. Free Blades rabble. See if I care. And they're
islanders, besides. Living on islands warps the brain, although some people don't
have enough brain to worry about it.
BIRAN (54-1927) (16-8-1,68) of THE WHITE COMPANY fought ZOOLANDER (39-3523) (15-
7-1,61) of WITLESS WONDERS. BIRAN overpowered ZOOLANDER in a crowd pleasing 1 minute
one-sided brawl. Everyone from Xochithlan is worthless, did I mention that? A bunch
of self-indulgent elves. Beat them up and I'll cheer.
SIR LANCELOT (72-4997) (14-12-2,55) of KNIGHTS TEMPLAR fought U.S.S. ARIZONA
(34-2643) (19-16-1,56) of D-DAY SQUAD. SIR LANCELOT was handily defeated by U.S.S.
ARIZONA in a 1 minute mismatched duel. Probably the heat, and I don't CARE if it's a
dry heat.
     JUSTICE (73-4299) (15-8-1,73) of PEACE MAKERS fought R.O.U.S. (106-4) (0-0-0,50)
of Assorted Bums. JUSTICE vanquished R.O.U.S. in a 1 minute one-sided struggle.
Rats! I hate rats. They should all be exterminated. Why didn't this Bum from...
oh, another islander. That explains it. They live on rats, all those rodents
abandoning their stinking ships, you know.
LILITH (18-7794) (17-9-2,64) of THE SHADOWS fought CANADIAN MIST (50-1136) (34-
23-2,86) of CANADIAN CLUB. LILITH was defeated by CANADIAN MIST in an action packed
1 minute battle. The announcers keep saying "action-packed," but how much action can
you pack into one minute?
GUTTERBALL (78-2344) (19-15-1,64) of PBA fought TAMMY FAYE (39-3520) (15-7-0,52)
of WITLESS WONDERS. GUTTERBALL was demolished by TAMMY FAYE in an exciting 1 minute
uneven competition. Just LIKE a Xochithlani to go hanging around in a gutter.
PROOKIE (78-2345) (20-13-1,54) of PBA fought POPPY HAMMER (28-3318) (17-8-0,60)
of FLOWER HAMMERZ. PROOKIE won victory over POPPY HAMMER in a crowd pleasing 1
minute bout. All I can say about this is, "Thank the gods that Prookie isn't a
Delarquan!" What a name! Of course, everyone knows the Adantri are... odd.
UNCAS (31-4189) (25-19-0,94) of THE STORMGUARDS fought PIXIE BLIGHT (73-4427)
(16-14-0,87) of DARQUE FORCES VIII. UNCAS was vanquished by PIXIE BLIGHT in a 1
minute one-sided bout. Free Blighters, who cares about them?
PRINCE OF AR (31-3625) (13-11-1,124) of THE STORMBRINGERS fought KISSYFUR (67-
2187) (22-9-1,91) of ALL-STAR NANA'S. PRINCE OF AR demolished KISSYFUR in a 1 minute
one-sided conflict. By the Gods, the names warriors use these days are enough to
make a strong man blush! "Kissyfur"?
DOLLFACE (39-2372) (58-78-1,133) of DRINKING BUDDIES fought LUMBERING WAIF (8-
4346) (17-9-0,96) of HAPLESS WAIF. DOLLFACE was devastated by LUMBERING WAIF in a
popular 2 minute brutal uneven bout. And the really sad thing about this disgusting
display is that Dollface KNOWS she'd do better if she stopped drinking. No will
power. That's an elf for you.
JACK SPRAT (47-2954) (48-55-4,147) of ROYAL FLUSH fought EVIL INPUTTER (106-7)
(0-0-0,110) of Assorted Bums. JACK SPRAT was bested by EVIL INPUTTER in an exciting
3 minute battle. And don't claim an "input error" on this one!
LEVITICUS (54-1687) (19-18-2,140) of THE WHITE COMPANY fought ZEBRA HAMMER (39-
3170) (20-8-0,111) of JUNGLE HAMMERZ. LEVITICUS was unbelievably bested by ZEBRA
HAMMER in a popular 2 minute duel. You've got to wonder--I certainly have to wonder-
-about the sanity of somebody who'd paint stripes on his hammer. Of course, you will
note... Xochithlan again. Elves. It's probably a "fashion statement."
TEMPUS (31-538) (35-36-0,171) of THE STORMGUARDS fought TASHIA (11-2740) (28-36-
1,128) of DEADLY DE-PARTED. TEMPUS beat TASHIA in an action packed 3 minute brutal
bout. All werecats should be beaten, to teach them better manners. There is no
couth in changing shape, it's a low sort of thing to do. Peasantish, too.
DISCO QUEEN (47-1992) (32-15-1,175) of ROYAL FLUSH fought KRAC D'CHEVALIERS (31-
4345) (20-24-0,169) of THE STORMGUARDS. DISCO QUEEN defeated KRAC D'CHEVALIERS in a
2 minute bout. Well... I will admit that the glittery crown is rather eye-catching.
Not to mention the figure under it.
KING FORADAY (47-3762) (41-39-4,176) of ROYAL FLUSH fought CARLA (39-2428) (60-
73-2,161) of DRINKING BUDDIES. KING FORADAY beat CARLA in a popular 2 minute match.
TEN COMMANDMENTS (47-3843) (38-33-0,165) of ROYAL FLUSH fought SNOOKUMS (82-610)
(35-32-0,173) of A UNIT XI. TEN COMMANDMENTS was savagely defeated by SNOOKUMS in an
action packed 1 minute duel. "Snookums"? We have a gladiator who actually ANSWERS
to the name of "Snookums"? This is disgraceful! The island influence, I knew it
would bring nothing good.
DAIRY QUEEN (47-2685) (60-36-2,195) of ROYAL FLUSH fought TELGOR (106-27) (0-0-
0,200) of Assorted Bums. DAIRY QUEEN overcame TELGOR in an exciting 4 minute gory
duel. So I should hope! Telgor is THERE to be overcome. What I don't understand is
how ANYBODY could spend four minutes on it!
TALOS (31-2069) (52-24-0,193) of THE STORMGUARDS fought KING UVDAHELL (47-1643)
(33-13-1,203) of ROYAL FLUSH. TALOS was handily defeated by KING UVDAHELL in an
exciting 1 minute uneven bout. I was not particularly excited. Were any of you
excited, or is it all hyperbole? I have my suspicions.
STEE JANS (20-65) (43-38-0,188) of OVERLORDS fought SIR PLUS (10-4316) (31-25-
1,196) of SIR AGLIO. STEE JANS was vanquished by SIR PLUS in a 1 minute uneven bout.
It would appear that, island though it is, Kolact is not wholly without champions. A
Delarquan island must, by its very nature, be better than any other island.
SANDMAN (11-3923) (52-55-2,201) of ANDORIAN KNIGHTS fought JUAN (41-2304) (26-
18-0,162) of DREAM TEAMS. SANDMAN was overpowered by JUAN in a popular 3 minute
brutal one-sided duel. Let the Andorians fight amongst themselves. See if I care.
*WINTER* (65-3644) (27-26-1,189) of ANCIENT KNIGHTS fought WHEEL OF FORTUNE (25-
2529) (44-39-2,194) of DUELING FOR DOLLARS. *WINTER* overpowered WHEEL OF FORTUNE in
an exciting 1 minute uneven fight. And according to this note in the margin of my
program, if Winter can pick the correct door out of three, Winter will win a...
"washing machine." Gladiators have no use for washing machines, they make the
bloodstains harder to get out. Or so I've been told.
     MATTEONE (37-1045) (59-34-0,185) of FEARSOME LEGENDS fought R'SHANN (20-577)
(54-42-3,210) of OVERLORDS. MATTEONE devastated R'SHANN in a 3 minute one-sided
bout. Splendidly fearsome is Matteone. A salute!
     PAUL (35-2349) (36-36-2,190) of COMMON JOE'S fought SIR LY (10-4116) (41-31-
0,202) of SIR AGLIO. PAUL slimly lost to SIR LY in an action packed 2 minute duel.
I will forgive this Sir Ly his island since he brought another Delarquan win. But
get that fixed before I see you again!
CRUSADER LORD (31-3946) (41-30-5,190) of THE STORMGUARDS fought JACK VALTRAEDS
(47-407) (82-60-2,191) of ROYAL FLUSH. CRUSADER LORD was vanquished by JACK
VALTRAEDS in a 1 minute one-sided match. I must say it's amusing, mildly amusing, to
watch these lawless Free Blades sword-boys beat each other up. As they say, "It's a
dirty job...."
FIGHTER ACE (47-1189) (53-40-6,215) of ROYAL FLUSH fought BALCLUTHA (14-3169)
(27-35-1,194) of OTAGO HIGHLANDERS. FIGHTER ACE was overpowered by BALCLUTHA in a
crowd pleasing 1 minute one-sided match. Aces low, I take it?
CANADA COOLER (50-1904) (26-23-0,322) of CANADIAN CLUB fought BEAUTY QUEEN (47-
3352) (36-38-3,208) of ROYAL FLUSH. CANADA COOLER was devastated by BEAUTY QUEEN in
an exciting 1 minute one-sided fight. They owe no allegiance to anybody, they live
in places with really bad climates, and they might as WELL beat each other up.
     SNOOPER (1-5154) (38-18-3,228) of MIKE'S MISFITS fought MERCY (54-1797) (21-10-
0,184) of THE BLACK COMPANY. SNOOPER handily defeated MERCY in a crowd pleasing 1
minute mismatched bout. Ah, the Mordanti. Uncouth, thorough-going thugs, but such
EFFICIENT thugs.
FENGAR II (20-61) (110-79-2,258) of OVERLORDS fought WEINERMUN (37-2635) (53-44-
3,427) of ALL THE MUN'S MEN. FENGAR II vanquished WEINERMUN in an action packed 1
minute mismatched bout. A very peculiar fight when viewed by the numbers: the fights
on record, the recognition. There is definitely a Rirorni in the woodpile here!
DEBBIE DAHMER (45-3579) (24-7-1,81) of MORDRED'S MADMEN challenged WILD CARD
HAMMER (33-6864) (23-17-2,85) of CASINO HAMMERZ. DEBBIE DAHMER was handily defeated
by WILD CARD HAMMER in a 1 minute conflict. Islanders again! I loathe people who
live on islands. It's unnatural. Perverse.

     And the challenge matches:
RANDOM MATCHUP (96-1048) (9-5-3,44) of OVERRATED challenged MOSGIEL (14-3836)
(19-8-1,45) of OTAGO HIGHLANDERS. Up 1. RANDOM MATCHUP was demolished by MOSGIEL in
a 1 minute mismatched Challenge match. No doubt we are meant to laugh at the
conjunction of the name and the challenge. Very well. Ha. Ha.
PINE (78-2350) (22-7-1,65) of TREE PEOPLE challenged DANNIA TYL SIO (52-3393)
(33-23-1,83) of SAND DANCERS. Up 18. PINE was devastated by DANNIA TYL SIO in a 1
minute mismatched Challenge conflict. Ha! You can't fool ME, these warriors are
BOTH Adantri! The beaded and sequined surcoat that the Sio wench was wearing, that
was the give-away. Nobody but an Adantri would be so crass as to combine orange and
blue that way.
EGOTISTIC DUKE (28-2779) (19-13-1,58) of ABYSMAL BEHAVIORS challenged NORM
PETERSON (39-2745) (42-71-0,60) of DRINKING BUDDIES. Up 2. EGOTISTIC DUKE was
overpowered by NORM PETERSON in a 2 minute Challenge fight. Amazing. Norm must not
have been fighting the fight that brought him here. I remember hearing about that
one. It happened in a bar and involved a primary bung-starter and an offhand
tankard. And a lot of spilled wine and beer.
     300 (78-2346) (20-15-0,100) of PBA challenged SIR YDER (31-4353) (26-8-0,149) of
WILLBENDERS. Up 49. 300 defeated SIR YDER in an action packed 1 minute Challenge
match. This is Most-Challenged Sir Yder, and I can see why. That record is a
standing provocation.
MATADOR (11-4139) (42-33-2,96) of ANDORIAN KNIGHTS challenged EGAN FORN (39-
3295) (24-34-0,48) of THE MIDDLE WAY. Down 48. MATADOR savagely defeated EGAN FORN
in an action packed 1 minute gory Challenge duel. It's unusual to see an Andorian
with such a fine appreciation of the spirit of winning fights. I salute this
Matador.
STONEWALL (11-3900) (49-57-2,136) of ANDORIAN KNIGHTS challenged MIRTA (51-4033)
(46-28-1,142) of SAND DANCERS. Up 6. STONEWALL was handily defeated by MIRTA in a 1
minute uneven Challenge melee. Handily. That seems unmanly. A woman shouldn't find
victory so easy. In fact, what... well, I suppose this is not the time and place to
go into the propriety of teaching women to fight....
     SPLIT (78-2347) (24-12-0,111) of PBA challenged FEATHER (54-1742) (20-16-2,160)
of THE WHITE COMPANY. Up 49. SPLIT was devastated by FEATHER in a 1 minute
mismatched Challenge match. Quite insane, but then, that's the Adantri for you.
BELGOROTH (50-3175) (31-29-0,167) of DARK SIDHE challenged AVONSIDE (13-3927)
(31-41-1,186) of KIWI CONNECTION. Up 19. BELGOROTH devastated AVONSIDE in a 1
minute one-sided Challenge duel. Good! I hold no special brief for the Snowmen, but
Dullards are even worse.
SANDBLASTER (11-3899) (51-55-3,180) of ANDORIAN KNIGHTS challenged KYRA (51-
3774) (41-44-1,144) of SAND DANCERS. Down 36. SANDBLASTER savagely defeated KYRA in
an exciting 3 minute bloody Challenge fight. We should make this fellow an honorary
Delarquan; that was a superb example of the "Delarquan Touch."
KALANDRA (50-2443) (57-57-3,208) of DARK SIDHE challenged KITALA THE BOLD (78-
875) (84-101-2,271) of SAND DANCERS. Up 63. KALANDRA won victory over KITALA THE
BOLD in a 3 minute Challenge brawl. Another instance of Adantri insanity--what was
Kitala THINKING to lose this fight? She must be getting fat and lazy. The Adantri
are always thinking about food, you know, always eating "hot cuisine."
     SCUM #1 (50-2743) (47-53-0,199) of DARK SIDHE challenged HANNYA (73-4350) (28-8-
1,202) of BLOOD LUST. Up 3. SCUM #1 subdued HANNYA in an exciting 4 minute gory
Challenge melee. Yes, well, some people are excited at watching the grass grow, too.
SANDPAWN (11-4169) (48-22-1,197) of ANDORIAN KNIGHTS challenged PAT (35-2292)
(37-42-2,222) of COMMON JOE'S. Up 25. SANDPAWN was viciously subdued by PAT in a
crowd pleasing 4 minute Challenge fight. The wages of up-challenges is loss. And
embarrassment. And insult.

This ONE time, because of the Split, I will concede that there is little shame
in having the title decided by a random match. But next time, I want to see a
challenge here!
EARTH ELEMENTAL (31-1245) (33-22-0,378) of THE STORMGUARDS fought DUNEDIN (14-
3703) (30-37-0,196) of OTAGO HIGHLANDERS. EARTH ELEMENTAL unbelievably bested
DUNEDIN in a popular 8 minute gory Title contest. Gory is always popular. I
wouldn't have thought the little fellow (Dunedin) had that much blood in him.

                               PERSONAL CORRESPONDENCE

Juan -- Hmmm, perhaps you should stick with the coffee bean business. <wicked grin>
-- Mercy

Mun -- And I run the Knights Templar. -- Baphomet

AK47 -- Ya know what? I can't stand a bully. You been whooping and hollering about
Andorian Honour and *NOT ONE TIME* have I seen you display anything that closely
resembles honour. Speaking of which, when it came to defending Andorian Honour, when
the Sloshers came busting into Aruak City, you hit the trail outta town so fast you
looked like an Alabama lady with a Louisiana gator clamped on yer buttocks! I know,
you're gonna probably threaten me, and then cream about Andorian Honour while you
downchallenge, aim for vitals with high K.D.s. Yeah, I know...sounds a little
familiar. Oh, that's right...ya been doing that on Leeta, haven't ya, pond-scum? --
Baphomet

Mr. Coffee -- I'd say I liked Columbian best, but...then you'd probably start
challenging me and if I said I enjoyed mine with a couple Sugar Cubes...I'd probably
be in big trouble. (Congrats on your grads and condolences on Bombay's demise in the
mail-in!) -- Baphomet

Sandpawn -- Uh...ya didn't make T.C., and...uh...you didn't even make it to round 10.
-- Sir Lancelot (who graduated with a 14-9-2 record with *NO* tourney experience!)

Egan Forn -- I missed my chance to fight you last week. Should we dance again this
week? -- Matador (still naked and proud of his manhood)

Kitala The Rude -- I hope I impressed you by lasting six minutes in our fight. What
is up with your stable keep going for our sword arms? It works. -- Sandpawn (went 2-
3 in tournament without learning any skills at all)

Paul -- Close fight. My ribs still hurt. Better luck next time. -- Sandman (rubbing
his bruised ribs)

Lonalilta -- I never win so it does not hurt my pride to be beat up by a woman. I
just show up each week for my beating. -- Sandblaster (still trying to pick the meat
out of his back teeth)

Tashia -- Seems like I fight better with my shield than my sword. Better luck next
time. -- Stonewall (looking for Gladiator with favorite learn Riposte)

All -- Those that want help learning skills here is some information to help:
     Stonewall learns Attack skills best.
     Sandblaster learns Parry skills best.
     Sandpawn learns decisiveness best.
     Matador learns Attack skills best.
     Sandman learns initiative skills best.
-- AK47 (hopes favor is returned quickly)

All -- I run Blood Lust, Willbenders, Mordreds Madmen and others! -- Abraxis

Sandpawn -- Well parried, though not well enough. -- Kitala the Bold
P.S. I was going to make a rude remark about Andorians, because I, personally,
really don't like most of the Andorians I've met, but you didn't deserve a rude
remark. I salute you for a bold and courageous challenge and a well-contested match.

Biran -- (sigh) Just another one of those days when I think I should've stayed in
bed. -- Egan Forn

300 -- But you're just a NUMBER, dammit. How can you be just a number? -- Dannia tyl
Sio

Sir Yder -- For somebody with a bent will, you're damned tough. -- Kyra

Dollface -- I wonder if there's any way at all to extort a personal out of your
manager? -- Mirta

Mappates Hammer -- It's hard to hammer falling snow, isn't it? -- Snowfall

Sandman -- Because it's boring. -- Kyra

                                     DEATH FEST

The ferocious ghosts of former glories whispered across the wind swept sands of
DM 59; agonizing incessantly due to the diminutive demise of the Delarq arena known
as Illis.
Tattered banners and forgotten memories wailed in the wind for a dynamic death
march to dawn once more upon the blood stained sands of the Delarq slow arena.
The distant call crying for a declaration of restoration amidst the ruin of the
all but forgotten Delarq arena carried to the far corners of Alastari; drawing the
Devious, the Diabolical, the Dangerous and the Down Challenging to cross blades and
wage warfare among an assemblage of new stables managed by the Known and Unknown;
willing to spill fresh blood, while carving their destiny during 15 Rounds of contest
driven combat to be known as the "Illis Incredibly Diabolical Delarq Death Fest".
A lone cloaked figure huddled by lamplight in a remote outpost near the
crossroads of ElseWhere and ElseWhen; feverishly formulating the foundational
framework for the dawning of the Delarq Death Fest in DM 59, complete with
Gladiatorial Commission sanctioned prizes to promote the growing thirst for a Delarq
Slow Arena Death Festival.

Delarq Death Fest Opening Round debuts the first turn immediately following the
Summer 2004 F2F Tourney and continues through the completion of 15 consecutive
rounds.
Death Fest points are Won or Lost ONLY in the DM 59 Delarq Slow Arena [Tourneys
DO NOT Add or Subtract from the Death Fest Point Scoring System]:

Death Fest Scoring Format:
Win =3D +2 pts
Loss =3D -1 pt
Kill =3D +5 pts [in addition to +2 pts for Win]
Death =3D -3 pts [in addition to 1 pt for Loss]
Dark Arena Kill =3D +10 pts [in addition to +2 pts for Win]
Dark Arena Death =3D -5 pts [in addition to 1 pt for Loss]
Revenged Blood Feud =3D +5 pts [successful Revenged Blood Feud provides Death Fest
contestants the opportunity to cancel out 3 pts for Death and 1 pt for Loss; while
gaining +1 pt overall for the Revenged Blood Feud in addition to the +2 pts for Win]

DEATH FEST PRIZES will be awarded to the Top Ten Death Fest Stables on the basis
of Total Points*** accumulated during the 15 rounds of competition as follows:

1. Favorite Weapon Knowledge for 1 (one) warrior ranked Initiate or higher on the
Final Round to be revealed by RSI to each of the Top Ten Death Fest Stables
2. Renaming of Dark Arena Monsters and NPCs [yet to be determined according to how
many DA Monsters and NPCs are available in DM 59 for Renaming]
3. The Top Five Death Fest Stables will receive New Team Rollup Certificates as
follows: 1st (10), 2nd (8), 3rd (6), 4th (4) and 5th (2)
4. Renaming Illis Arena for 6 months plus Receiving 6 months Free Play courtesy of
RSI will be awarded to the manager of the 1st Place Death Fest Stable
5. Discussions are underway regarding a possible Special Award granted to the Illis
Iron Stable qualifiers who compete in 67 of a possible 75 fights during the course of
the 15 consecutive rounds of the Death Fest [Key Factor is How Many (?) stables will
be competing in the Death Fest without drawing away participation by current managers
in the remaining slow arenas!] Therefore, it is important for all managers entering
stables in DM 59 for the upcoming Death Fest to contact RSI as soon as possible
regarding their participation in this contest so that a Final Ruling on the proposed
Illis Iron Stable Award can be issued by RSI.

***TieBreaker is determined on the Final Round by the DM 59 Newsletter Recognition
Rankings. The stable with the Highest Ranked Active Gladiator is granted the
decision. [Example: Warrior A and Warrior B are both listed in the Recognition

Rankings with 87 pts; however, because Warrior A is listed in the Recognition
Rankings ahead of Warrior B, then Warrior A is granted the TieBreaker Decision for
His/Her stable!]

Opening Round Team Spotlight Bonus [minimum 15 paragraphs!] Each Delarq Death
Fest competitor who writes a Team Spotlight featuring their Stable (Name) and
Managerial Alias [Gladiatorial Names Optional] in regards to competing in the Delarq
Death Fest will receive 25 pts added to His/Her opening round score.
Illis Iron Stable Bonus [in addition to the proposed award awaiting RSI
approval!] Any manager whose stable competes in at least 67 of the possible 75
fights during the 15 rounds of Death Fest receives 25 points added to His/Her final
overall score [this allows each stable the cushion of missing one round of
competition; plus up to 3 additional fights due to waiting for replacement rollups
from Deaths suffered either in Tourneys or during the Death Fest contest in DM 59
over the course of 15 rounds of competition!]

                                 TEN TURNS OF HELL:
The KLK Capture The Flag Competition

In the spirit of the ongoing effort to make arena play what it used to be (FUN!!), I
am proud to announce the KLK Capture The Flag Competition. The competition will be
held in Jhans (DM-36, which has, by the way, grown in size equal to Talcama already).
:) We are announcing this contest early to allow managers time to prep.

Rules:
-- On turn 462 (due 8/4/04) the lowest ranked warrior on your team is given your
team's 'flag' (he is your initial flag defender).
-- Starting on turn 463 (due 8/18/04) flags will be defended every turn and turn
463 is the turn scoring will begin.
-- Fights involving flags are winners-take-all and a warrior can carry as many
flags as he can win.
     -- If a warrior holding a flag either A) goes inactive, B) loses to a stand-by
warrior or C) gets DA'd, he forfeits all flags he has and they are returned the their
original team's lowest ranked warrior.
-- If you hold your own flag on an inactive warrior you receive NO POINTS that
turn.
-- If a warrior graduates to AD holding flags starting on the next turn those
flags will be defended by the lowest ranked warrior on the team of the graduating
warrior.
-- Scoring as follows for each turn:
2 pts -- possession of your own team flag
1 pt -- possession any other flag
1 pt -- for each win
1 pt -- for each kill
1 pt -- for each award you receive in the newsletter
-- You may enter as many teams as you like (per RSI rules) but each team is its
own entry.
-- Tie-Breaker goes to the team that had the most points from flags.
-- If still tied the tie-breaker will be the team that had the most points from
kills. (It's the Delarq way.)
-- The contest lasts 10 turns and there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
(based on highest point totals)

Prizes: (what you've been waiting on)
1st -- 3 know favorites potions*

DA warrior named after winning manager
2nd -- 2 know favorites potions*
3rd -- 1 know favorites potion*

* These are full favorite potions (weapon, rhythms and tactics) and can only be used
on warriors with at least 4 FE.

How's that for paying out? (grin) Even if you think that it's all about the TC,
these prizes should be enough to draw you in. (You know who you are.)
I hope to see friend and foe alike come to Jhans. Legion, Froths, and all the
others...this is your personal invite. Can you win? Can you survive 10 turns of
Hell in Jhans?
Note: Special thanks to RSI for helping make this contest possible. Thanks
guys!
