REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
You'll pardon me, I hope, if there are lapses of style and length here, and
perhaps even flaws in coherence. It was a very, um, intense party. The kind that
lingers with you for a day or two before you're back to your own self.
Unfit to Be Orcs were avoided by The Bear's Paw, and his maw as well. And the
stories I could tell you about his brothers and sisters! Well, they'd straighten
your hair!
Violet Vulture got the most challengs, and I have to wonder why?
We had a mere fifteen fights, fewer even than Andorak! Work on this. Only one
standby, which is good, at least. Six challenges, none of them tv. One death. The
longest fight was twelve minutes, which is better than some months have been, but I'm
sure you could draw one out farther than that. Make the effort.
Because time is short and my hangover is long, I will forego the leisurely
analysis of these matches and keep it short and snappy.
AMELIA (28-3417) (20-5-1,48) of DODGE BULLETS fought LADY DOMINGA (28-3702) (21-
40-0,84) of FILIPINA LADYZ. AMELIA narrowly defeated LADY DOMINGA in an action
packed 1 minute fight. I'd suggest this is a case of old friends or enemies at work
here, both being from Morya, but it doesn't look like they overlapped. Maybe they're
making up for it.
KARATIA (73-3624) (19-4-1,79) of KIWI CONNECTION fought SKULK (39-3603) (16-0-
0,69) of CHEAP SHOTS. KARATIA overcame SKULK in a crowd pleasing 1 minute
competition. Excellent! Give those Cheap Shots a serious blow to the head or
elsewhere. They set bad examples.
DESPERADO (28-1152) (23-29-1,58) of DODGE BULLETS fought LADY CONSOLACION (28-
3703) (25-36-3,75) of FILIPINA LADYZ. DESPERADO beat LADY CONSOLACION in a popular 1
minute match. But then, we have already been discovering that Desperado is no
gentleman.
GHOST DANCER (28-3365) (26-16-0,55) of DODGE BULLETS fought YELLOW SUBMARINE
(82-33319) (18-9-0,63) of COLOR TUNES. GHOST DANCER was devastated by YELLOW
SUBMARINE in a 1 minute one-sided fight. That'll teach you to go swimming in deep
water, Ghost! Especially in this weather.
KISSYFUR (67-2187) (24-15-1,101) of ALL-STAR NANA'S fought SIPPYCUP SAM (14-
4280) (21-19-3,104) of PLAYPEN. KISSYFUR beat SIPPYCUP SAM in a crowd pleasing 1
minute brawl. There's a certain "rightness" about this match. The names seem to go
together in some peculiar way, which is probably appropriate for such peculiar names
and people.
YOUNG JOAN (28-3534) (28-22-1,118) of DODGE BULLETS fought BLUE BLOOD (73-3657)
(21-11-1,131) of BLACK & BLUE. YOUNG JOAN was devastated by BLUE BLOOD in a 1 minute
uneven duel. I'd say that Young's winning record is heading south in a hurry, and
given the weather we've been having, I wish I was!
BLACK FLAG (82-46046) (25-14-3,101) of TONGUE N CHEEK fought BILLY LILLY (28-
3416) (27-14-1,111) of DODGE BULLETS. BLACK FLAG viciously subdued BILLY LILLY in an
action packed 2 minute gory fight. So, Billy, now you see what happens when you go
around scalping your fellow gladiators for their fur! You get no mercy when you
lose. Viciously, ha! You asked for that one.
LOOGIE CLAP (82-46049) (24-16-2,117) of TONGUE N CHEEK fought FRED BEAR (47-
5348) (22-11-0,110) of THE BEAR'S PAW. LOOGIE CLAP was demolished by FRED BEAR in a
popular 3 minute bloody mismatched match. They do say that you should never feed the
bears. Now you see why.
UNCERTAIN OMELET (47-3786) (22-13-0,206) of MYSTIC ORC FEAST fought GOJIRO (106-
31) (0-0-0,220) of the College of Mimes. UNCERTAIN OMELET was narrowly defeated by
GOJIRO in a 3 minute competition. Our only active standby today... won? How does
this happen? Can it be that Uncertain was also hung over?
WEINERMUN (37-2635) (59-55-3,198) of ALL THE MUN'S MEN fought BLUE VELVET (11-
6248) (30-11-0,196) of COLORIFIC. WEINERMUN was unbelievably bested by BLUE VELVET
in a popular 3 minute brutal bout. I don't find this hard to believe, although I
understand the bookies did. Glad I'm not a bookie.
RAVISHING REDBUD (52-3197) (35-12-0,227) of FLOWER GIRLS fought TOADKILLER DOG
(47-1103) (37-17-1,246) of WASTED SCUM. RAVISHING REDBUD was viciously subdued by
TOADKILLER DOG in a popular 12 minute fight. Ah. Hmm. I think maybe I won't touch
this one.
AMPLITUR (65-6440) (24-5-1,245) of DARK TOADS fought STIGMA OF STUPID (31-4948)
(36-19-1,200) of UNFIT TO BE ORCS. AMPLITUR vanquished STIGMA OF STUPID in an action
packed 1 minute one-sided duel. And are we surprised? No, I don't think so. Stigma
may be many things, but not stupid enough to get crosswise with a Dark Toad. Black
warts. Terrible.

minute bloody Challenge struggle. Who knows what hidden hostility lurks here, eh?
VIOLET VULTURE (11-6612) (24-4-0,136) of ANIMAL FARM challenged MOSGIEL (14-
3836) (30-14-1,146) of OTAGO HIGHLANDERS. And this despite being herself the Most
Challenged. Up 10. VIOLET VULTURE unbelievably bested MOSGIEL in a 7 minute
Challenge brawl. Believe it. Mosgiel is looking like road-kill today.
