REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Much has changed in STORM ROCK since last I was here. Never fear, Olaf Modeen
adapts to many situations, as do all successful fighters. What's with DELAWARE RUN?
He actually beat DARQUE FORCES' THE BRIDE, and walked away with 20 more points from
the fight. Major screwup at SHEPHERDS. JOSH lost 13 points to LHISSON. Some new
strategies, perhaps? Maybe JOSH will provide more easy wins... Another fighter
(EVANGELION 33-26-1) challenged another Duelmaster (MOIST TOWELETTE 68-43-4). Life
goes on. I'm sure STORM ROCK is excited about EVANGELION, the new Duelmaster from
IMPROVED ILLUSION. (remember?) But when you've seen as many as I have... Wouldn't
it be nice to have live subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into
the uses of convicted prisoners.
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. How
well I know the feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of
practive, NOMADIC TRIBE! Management must be dealin', as the boys at DARQUE FORCES
ain't reelin'! NOMADIC TRIBE's mad! How well I know the feeling of being the most
challenged warrior, RINDEL! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you.
Maybe SHEPHERDS' GAD is one of those guys who likes pain, or something. That's what
he'll get next week, after challenging up 76 to FOUR OF SPADES. GAD found one way to
advance: challenging FOUR OF SPADES and losing, but getting 1 points. No brain, no
pain. ALMOST PRETTY didn't quite know what to make of a challenge she received from
VIRGINIA, NO SANTA of GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS, who is 25 points below her. VIRGINIA, NO
SANTA perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he was overcame by ALMOST PRETTY and
ended up with 150 recognition points.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Is it my imagination, or are fighters getting
younger every day? To die so young, so gloriously!
Well, I'm pretty much through. You guys need to get back practicing. STORM
ROCK is a nice place to live, but I don't like to live in nice places. Remember--a

Our fights are being held up for the completion of the Freeze, which, as you
probably know, is in preparation for the upcoming tourney. I told the
Commission that since WE don't do the tournies, there was no reason for us to
wait, but they weren't buying that. They weren't even taking it as a gift.
Bummer. So, in order that the fights shall be fought and reported with all
possible speed once they DO happen, I am setting this newsletter to go with the
