Reflections by the Champion of the Horn
Where'd everyone go??!
This place has gotten small. And just as I was finishing up my skill trains and
moving on to the big gain stat jumps. So I was hoping to have some success, but
suddenly most of the old top guys in the arena are gone. Jello Knuckles isn't bad,
but he wasn't at the top of the leader board before the fall tournament season.
(Which shouldn't affect us here anyway, right?) Which leaves a couple of Suavers
right below me in the rankings, both with far more fights than I have. So, perhaps I
should be careful about lamenting the loss of talent.
But overall it seems we need to do some recruiting. Twelve active warriors is a
bit small. I'd hate to get tired of piercing the same hides every turn. For this
turn, I offered no challenges and simply wait to see what Suave serves up.
I would like to note that I am not the first of Nomad's warriors to hold this
title. Back on turn one of the no-tourney ADM experiment, the very first title of
Champion of the Horn went to Anvil Ironfist of my home stable, the Dragonbane Guild.

REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
If I become incoherent (more than usually so) during this spy report, just put
it down to the faintness resulting from loss of blood. I've got Seasonal Nosebleed,
and it won't quit. Other than that, all is well.
We had eight fights, no challenges, no avoids, and two standbys. We're still
ahead of Andorak! Significant point movements, Pinch Blister up seventeen. Jello
Knuckles down twelve. Different fights.
DIRTY DIAPERS (38-5071) (17-12-0,33) of BASH BROS CHILDREN fought RIRORNI
SOLDIER (107-3) (0-0-0,30) of Fine Imported Standbys. DIRTY DIAPERS was vanquished
by RIRORNI SOLDIER in a 1 minute one-sided duel. Amazing, I never wondered what the
Rirorni did for diapers, but this was, um, enlightening.
WONTON NOT NOW (73-6069) (23-19-1,49) of PALINDROMES fought CAPTURED PIRATE KING
(107-2) (0-0-0,30) of Fine Imported Standbys. WONTON NOT NOW vanquished CAPTURED
PIRATE KING in a 1 minute uneven duel. Fie upon the Captured Pirate King; he's a
wuss.
MAULI LAMA (7-6292) (24-19-2,166) of SENTINELS fought PINCH BLISTER (18-9859)
(51-83-0,154) of CENTER FOR OLDS. MAULI LAMA slimly lost to PINCH BLISTER in an
action packed 3 minute fight. It didn't look to ME like a fight that would bring a
big gain, but what do I know? I just talk about this stuff.
ARUGULA (3-7180) (34-39-2,176) of VEGGIES fought OZAWINDIB (7-6212) (35-30-
0,180) of SENTINELS. ARUGULA was savagely defeated by OZAWINDIB in an exciting 8
minute bloody struggle. I think the tabasco sauce was a bit much there. Aren't you
supposed to be able to taste the veggie in question?
VIRGINIA, NO SANTA (65-6623) (49-73-1,209) of GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS fought POCKET
NEWS (19-5364) (37-36-0,194) of THE MAGNIFICENT MAGS. VIRGINIA, NO SANTA was
devastated by POCKET NEWS in a 1 minute uneven brawl. Yes, but did "Santa" bring
skills?
