SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly MORDANT games. Former top team ENTERPRISE was
unseated this week as FANTASIA moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top spot with a
5-0-0 record for the round. I have begun to suspect trickery on the part of EMU'S
SPAWN. How else weeks like this one's 4-1-0? How else the sudden move to 5th team?
There were bitter words at ARMY OF ONE's guildhouse after a 0-0-0 showing this week
which dropped the stable into 10th. Dark Arena anyone? Did only my eyes note the
3-0-0 record which BLACK PANTHEON managed to post this round? I don't doubt that
such a record will draw challengers! BOXCAR caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested CHARK FORKBEARD and was awarded 24
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, RAFFI THE GARROTE
put down PINPRICK, causing him to lose 18 points of recognition in the process. This
time out ENSIGN PO made hers bid for the throne as she challenged GLUTTONY in an all
out contest of skill for possession of the title! Not for nothing has GLUTTONY in
the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this week it's proven its combat
skill yet again. Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he never
fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In MORDANT "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! My inside sources tell me that the team to beat
in MORDANT these days is CHAOS KIDS. At least, most blades in town are looking to
avoid them. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the
better part of last week avoiding CHAOS KIDS. Indeed it was ENTERPRISE. Loose talk
at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters
are after RED SHIRT 2. Watch your back! A match that raised a few eyebrows at the
games this week, it seems that RATINTHEKITCHEN posted a challenge against the more
highly recognized SLOTH. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand RATINTHEKITCHEN
won victory over SLOTH. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel.
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! My sources at ENTERPRISE stable claim they've
never seen the guild bitterer. This as a result of the untimely demise of LT. CMDR
WORF. Beware STRIDER! The warrior's path is harsh. For mediocrity there is but one
reward--death. This past week STEAMPOWER, at 5-4-0, departed MORDANT forever. This
week's duel proved deadly to LT. CMDR WORF as he fell to the more renowned warrior,
STRIDER. How will ENTERPRISE find revenge? My hearty congratulations STRIDER, for
thy revenge upon LT. CMDR WORF, slayer of thy fallen comrade. Next time he will know
better, eh? ONE-EYED must hold silent, for this week he was humbled in the arena by
a successful Bloodfeud won by VEBORG of EMU'S SPAWN. Hail VEBORG for thy victory!
Dark alleys may hide both secrets and assassins. In the arena there is only the
brightness of steel. Keep vigil always!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in MORDANT. Nice atmosphere you have here! More than a sharp eye must I
keep, indeed a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari
await me! Till next we meet remember: a fool flies into a rage quickly and often.
