DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Has it really been eight turns I've been on the throne? Seems like just yesterday, but
far be it from me to contest our esteemed Spymaster's tally marks. I am honored, as
always, to be your Duelmaster.
With Tasalon headed off to the Isle, and Larry in the Dark Arena, Neon had to find a
couple replacements. While he typically keeps things close to the vest, I CAN tell you
that tryouts went well. Very well. I don't think you guys are going to like these new
recruits. I feel they are going to be velvety smooth.

SPY REPORT
Hail Warriors and Managers, Eoghan McGrimm here once more reporting on all arena
activities here in Lapur. This week we honor WANDERER 4 of BLACK KELTS, the 10th Lord
Protector from Purple Sage's guild. He took the long road, having fought his first
fight many years ago, but has finally achieved the ultimate goal. Congrats! Now we
look to see if anyone can beat our undefeated Duelmaster. I am betting not, but you
never know. The arena is a fickle thing, let's find out.
We held even at 15 teams, with 4 inactive in the ranks, which accounted for 26 fights
on the lists. Five in the Dark Arena, 7 challenge matches and that left 14 random
duels. In the title fight, KUHRIS of MID EARTH went for the gold, challenging the 8-
time Duelmaster and still undefeated SMOOTH OPERATOR of NEON VELVET. Per usual, Neon's
champion mastered Visionist's underachiever in a quick minute. All Hail the 9-time
Duelmaster!
In team news, the Bloke and his AVOID ME! trio remains on top after another 3-0-0.
Jumping from 5th to 2nd is Visionist and his MID EARTH crew, who garnered a 4-1-0.
Rounding out the top 3 is city newcomer BUFFALO TRACE '25, who vaulted from 9th to 3rd
after an impressive 4-1-0. They also were named the Team on the Move after gaining 50
points. In the Most Avoided, the song remains the Bloke and his AVOID ME! trio getting
9 avoids. The next highest got 5 avoids.
Next up is my "Fight of the Week"...
LOTS OF KNOTS of ALMOST EXACTLY fought WANDERER 4 of BLACK KELTS. Why choose this
fight? Because Vlad's tangled warrior beat Purple Sage's lost Lord Protector in a
exciting 2 minute veteran's fight. Well done to you both.
In Individual Achievements...
The biggest winner is CANCER, who beat PRETTY ALRIGHT and gained 21 from the fight,
but that also meant that PRETTY ALRIGHT lost 19 points with the loss.
This week's favorite is BRINE SUSPECT of BLUE HERRINGS, who went 6 minutes in losing
but was made famous by WAGON DRIVER 3 of BLACK KELTS!
No arena death this week other than in the Dark Arena and hold on, two more invitees
to the Isle. WOW! Congrats to SMOOTH OPERATOR of NEON VELVET and IGNORANCE IS BLISS of
ALMOST EXACTLY. Next time we will honor you both as Lord Protectors. 'Til next time.
