SPY REPORT
Refrigerator Perry gets to chill on the Isle of the Eye, so we need a new champion.
This turn the crown goes to Steph Curry of NBA Legends, who drained life instead of
threes by slaying Dahnar of Clan Longbeard. I'd cheer louder, but I spilled my mead
when he cut the warrior down in one clean slice. Dahnar departs this realm, and Steph
ascends the throne. Life isn't always fair.
Pray the Gods put the "fear" in "reverence." The rest of you cowardly weasels wouldn't
touch them with a ten-foot halberd this cycle. Can't blame you--their boy Zubin killed
Hunter of Primal Instinct, and let's just say that wasn't a peaceful passing. Darque
Ages saw the divine storm brewing and noped right out. I'd have more respect if they
did it with a backflip instead of a paperwork trail. Pansies, the lot of them!
You people hate this one, don't you? Egwene of Childhood Heroes was the target more
than the last seat in the tavern during happy hour. And like a cheap stool, she got
flattened by John Stockton. The poor girl's probably challenging her chiropractor now.
This turn wasn't just about glory--it was about death, baby, because we had lots of
it! Skor (Far Travelers) got leaf-blown into oblivion by Dainty Leaf. That's what you
get for laughing at the name, huh? Dahnar, whom we have covered already, found out the
hard way that Steph Curry doesn't just shoot--he slays. The Amazing Bob was not-so-
amazingly ended by Kapow from Ale House Mercs. A name that delivers what it promises.
Finally, Hunter was hunted down and executed by Zubin, a guy whose idea of "piety"
apparently includes arterial spray. Raise a mug for the fallen--preferably someone
else's tab.
Let's all raise our glass--again, preferably someone else's--to REFRIGERATOR PERRY of
Childhood Heroes. This icebox of a fighter finally graduates to the Isle, despite all
of Shadowspire being too afraid to leave ham sandwiches unattended in his presence.
He's off to retirement, or maybe just a lifetime supply of Capri Suns.
Shadowspire, you deliciously violent pit of egos and overcompensation, I'll be back in
two weeks--provided the bar credit holds out and the editor doesn't strangle me with
his quill. Until then, sharpen your blades, sharpen your wits (or borrow some), and
for Ahringol's sake, stop dodging Pray the Gods.
