The macro kite was a wedge about 2.5m wide, made of old tent poles (light weight, maybe fiberglass?) and a thin plastic dropcloth.

It was unstable and tended to either nose dive or stall, depending on where the line was attached. Adding a tail didn't appear to help.

A crazy idea that didn't work, but would have been awesome if it did.
