The captured data from the dynamic Newton meter is a movie in which each frame shows a series of meter sticks (including the low Newton (upper) end) and a red dot from the cat laser that shows the current reading. The camera should be held as still as possible but some jitter is OK, as long as

1. every frame shows the top of the meter stick stack
2. every frame shows the red dot
3. the angle doesn't change significantly
4. the distance between the camera and the rulers doesn't change significantly
