Vahar: the god/goddess of sorcery and all things arcane in the Drahnore Pantheon. This deity may appear as either male or female, without preference. The High Priest/ess is called the Servant of Vahar. Vale of Tira: in the Simtakka Valley. This basin, more or less in the center of the Tira Na Hills, is an area of intense geothermal activity. Geysers are found here, hot springs, and pools of boiling mud, and the whole basin is filled with a stifling fog. In the center is a crater nearly a mile and a half across; its center is several hundred feet lower than the rest of the basin. At the deepest part of the crater is a lake, the water so charged with minerals that it is coppery red, opaque, and has an oily sheen. Once a year in the middle of the winter, which they claim is the only safe time, the peasants come here to gather certain mineral-laden waters and highly colored muds which they claim to have powerful medicinal effects. Varnsadi: the Adantri equivalent of Sunday, a day of rest (not necessarily with religious overtones), which concludes their seven-day week. It was named after Varinsan the Wise, seventh and last emperor of the Harin Dynasty. Virang: province on the An-Kiu just downstream of the junction with the Fatebringer River. Vulsko: and abandoned fishing (and smuggling) village just north of Dal Shang on the slope right above the beach.
