Other Drahnoran Entities

In the southern part of the An-Kiu Valley, the cradle of the Empire, there are many minor deities and demigods which still receive homage at shrines and small temples in the countryside; it seems likely that most of these were originally included in the Drahnore Pantheon, but have lost their "official" connections as the pantheon lost overall recognition. A few are mentioned here; their shrines will be found in Miroi, Minho, Danath, Aryai, Chan-Kerang, Lanres Hanar, and Tilal provinces.

Amuris: a minor god or demigod, probably of Drahnoran origin. His area of interest is now uncertain; he may have been a patron of merchants and traders, and possibly of craftsmen, though the latter do not now bow before him. He is currently regarded as the god of wealth and business. There is a temple of Amuris in Daiyla Kiv, on the main market plaza, and he is believed to be the patron of the local branch of the Golden Wind Clan.

Beldrio: a minor god or demigod, probably of Drahnoran origin. He still gets some attention today, as his interest in mischief and (unfortunately) petty thievery and trickery appeals to many. His worship has spread beyond the original Drahnoran area (the central and southern An-Kiu Valleu), and shrines to Beldrio are now found all over the Empire.

Enestria: a minor moon goddess worshipped in some parts of Dal Shang Province; it has been suggested that she may be an aspect of the Drahnoran moon-and-water goddess Neskira.

Forhadron: a minor god or demigod of the Drahnore, probably a patron of flocks and herds, as he is pictured with a bull's horns in those few representations remaining. Small farmers pay homage to him.

Girinis: a god worshipped in southern Dal Shang Province, said to be associated with volcanic phenomena; he is apparently a fire-and-destruction god and may be the same as the Drahnoran fire-god Girinsitris. His worship is conducted in volcanic and geothermal areas and is said to be fairly violent; visitors are actively discouraged.

Girinsitris: the fire-god of the Drahnore Pantheon, now mostly forgotten and ignored. He apparently had much less personal power than the "official" eleven gods and goddess still worshipped. There has lately been noticed a tendency to associate this deity with volcanoes and geothermal activities, thence with the Twisted Lands where such things are common, and thus through a sort of `back door' with the destructive magics which created the Twisted Lands; the priests of Mantor are viewing this development with concern and watching it closely. He may be the same deity as the Girinis worshipped in southern Dal Shang Province.

Leshana: a weaver-goddess, probably once a member of the Drahnore Pantheon. There is a small shrine in her honor in the Dal Shang Bazaar. She has a small but loyal following in the southwestern part of Imperial Heart Province, where there is an enclave of weavers who call their work leshantiang.

Lilmisa: a river goddess or perhaps an aspect of Neskira of Drahnore; she is primarily a fertility goddess. Lilmisa is worshipped in Danath.

Maireena: a minor goddess of healing, probably originally a member of the Drahnore Pantheon. Shrines to Maireena are still found in tiny villages in the southern An-Kiu Valley. She is appealed to in times of fever-epidemics, which occasionally sweep the southern lands.

Minessa: a river goddess, possibly an aspect or alias of Neskira but possibly some older deity, worshipped at Min Ho in Minho Province.

Ololorna: a demigoddess associated (probably) with the Drahnore Pantheon. Her nature is obscure, and she is believed to be insane; whether she was always so, or has become so during the recent centuries of neglect, is not known. Those who live where her shrines are found consider it expedient to propitiate her.

Pamnir: a minor god of agriculture, probably one of the lesser Drahnore gods who have been largely forgotten. Pamnir has fared better than many such, however, as he still has shrines in many small farming villages in the southern An-Kiu Valley. His shrines are sometimes shared with Forhadron.

Simira: a minor goddess, probably of Drahnore origin, who is now known only as the "Lady of the Flowers." If she had some specific function in the lives of her worshippers, it is no longer remembered. She is currently regarded as a patroness of maidens.

Teldaro: a minor god, patron of trees and woodlands, who may be of Drahnoran origin. There are known to be shrines to Teldaro in the southern part of Imperial Heart Province, and from their appearance they obviously receive some care, but it is not known how deep and widespread the worship, or simple honoring of Teldaro goes here. He is sometimes called the Squire of Chalhar in Chan-Kerang Province.
