The Palm Garden: The Palm Garden is a fairly classy restaurant patronized by some of the upper-class citizens, especially the new-rich types. Food is good and very expensive, atmosphere is fairly exotic and well done, there is a small orchestra and a dance floor. There are private rooms upstairs, for private meals, meetings, or dalliance... There are wine cellars below it, and below that are cellars where more questionable things may be found. The subcellars connect with the system of drainage tunnels under Simtakka. The Palm Garden has Clawmoon connections.

Owner: Desalin ten Mironial, born in Miroi Chang; he is the local chief-agent of the Clawmoon. Desalin is about 5'10", medium build, black hair worn long and in a sort of bun (don't laugh, this is a fairly normal hairstyle for a middle-class Adantri merchant), light blue eyes. He normally wears loose pants in some dark color--blue or chestnut brown, a brightly colored shirt with long loose sleeves--an orangy yellow or light green, usually, a knee-length loose vest of crimson with heavy silver and gold embroidery, and boots. Carries a dagger openly (everyone does) and several in concealment. He will usually come to meet important guests himself and show them to "the best table/room we have."
