The Karndizali, a Ratani subgroup in Minho and Danath provinces, are of medium height and lean, wiry, darker of skin than any of their neighbors, with black hair and eyes. Their faces are broader and flatter than the hawk-nosed Kabiri, and instead of the turban they (both sexes) wear hoods; the women do not go veiled (which leads the neighboring Kabiri to regard them as "shameless" and to view them with a mixture of disdain and eager speculation).
