Religion in the Empire of Lirith KaiThe primary religion in Lirith Kai is the worship of Mantor the Bright, god of honor in combat (and other things, now). This worship, and the concept of honor which is central to it, affects all aspects of Adantri life, even when Mantor is not the primary deity worshipped by a given person or group. The Adantri distaste for magic is linked to their conception of Mantor's wishes, also. Although Mantor's worship is as old as history in Lirith Kai, he did not have his present prominence until a `mere' four or five centuries ago. In early times he was worshipped along side of at least two major pantheons: the Drahnore and the Pelang gods, and in those early days, greater weight was given to them. They are still honored in the An-Kiu Valley (the Pelang gods in the north, and the Drahnore in the south), but have now been eclipsed by Mantor. Additionally, the Empire of Lirith Kai now includes many non-Adantri races and cultures, and these people have the freedom to worship their own gods (except when they follow practices abhorrent to Mantor, such as human sacrifice). Mantor-worship is not exclusive, and many of the minority groups combine it with their traditional religion.
